Cam baffles wont be on there but planning a catch can setup Improving standard as best I can:

Stao, something that hasnt come up in a while: Variable Geometry turbos I think last time you talked about this it was on hold due to the complexity of the task (Understandable of course) but was just wondering if theres plans to do anymore development with these this year.
-
Yeah the turbo drain is an option. But the new turbo doesnt really have any oil restriction as compared to the HKS item I have. so will have alot more oil flowing through it. But realistically there wont be that much oil combined from the head drain and the turbo drain to prevent the turbo drain from doing its job. think that might be the best option at the moment anyway, May just go with this. Yes I realise the head drain thing is either a good thing or completely useless depending on who you talk to. But as far as I can see, if your accelerating, your pushing oil to the back, so it cant hurt to have a drain there. My logic might not be right, but I feel it necessarty

+1 I think I liked the lights with the silver outline around the lights, but still they look very cool all black. You may have alot of people here annoying you about lights now I'd like to give it a go, but I'm afraid it would either look dodgy or I'd ruin a set of head lights. Nearly bought a cheap set a while ago but the creative side of my mind is pretty average

Today I managed to get the oil pump fitted up, sat the timing gear and plates in, knocked all the welsch plugs in, fitted the knock sensors and fittings to the block, (all will probably have to come back out but saves losing them in the mess i have) and dummy fitted the sump. Still trying to find an alternative to plumbing the rear head drain into the intake side of the sump. It's so busy on that side with the starter motor, alot of the wiring and water plumbing as well as the underside of the manifold. But its the best place to plumb it because of the way the sump baffle slopes. Guess it will have to wait till the engine is more together to see where it will fit

Basic Tuning - Powerfc, Lc1 Wideband, Afr's- R33Gtst
89CAL replied to benl1981's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Best to tune your idle and cruise AFR's and leave 02 feedback off anyway. Should be able to plug the wideband into the datalogit and bring up your AFR's in FC Edit in map watch (20x20 view of AFR that corresponds with your inj map) Were you trimming the entire inj map with what you were doing? Better to just get your AFR's up in FC Edit as above and tune cell by cell. If your not confident then just don't go to lean -
Success! Might put the oil pump and some other things on it today. Get it ready for paint

After Abu Dabai GP "F$@% this enginner, I need new one next year"

Sky looks fake Nice shot

I'm not to sure about that. But I know I get a small noise through my speakers when I turn lights on etc, its nothing worth worrying about cause you can only notice it when theres nothing playing out of the speakers. Maybe its just something to do with the speakers, From memory the LH rear speaker sits pretty close the the battery terminals (depending on speaker) so maybe your new speakers sit a bit closer then the old ones and this is causing it? Not sure what new speakers you have but if they are the exact same speakers then that would be a bit more confusing.

This There should be 'some' drop accross it. Ideally there shouldnt be to much but I'd expect some drop accross the cooler. I know that mine cools, its very easy to tell with stainless piping, not something that was really apparent with aluminium piping (although back then it used to run accross the top of the engine) In winter I can feel the hot side of the cooler piping and its quite hot, cant really hold my hand on it to long, feel the cold side and could hold my hand on there all day. I'm hoping for a February-March startup on this new engine so should have SS2 Ceramic Bearing results around then Pretty keen to see how it performs with Poncams

Are your RCA's run near any power wires?
-
So Apparently the ARP bolts at their slightly higher then OEM torque specs caused the girdle to distort slightly and this is why the crank was locking up. didnt appear as a problem at standard torque but did at ARP torque settings. So hopefully all good now

Saw your old 350 today Ben, Also saw alot of dodgy drivers at canelands....

Non $ related question. How long does it take to make a headlight say for example like the R34 one? Look forward to seeing these, and will also put my name down for S2 R33 GTST lights as well if you decide to do them Had a bit of a look at your evo lights, those and r34 lights are far better then most I see getting around

Investment might be the wrong word Nothing car or car related is ever a good investment. Great fun though Those rims are pretty hot however...

What Happens When People Try To Drift -.-
89CAL replied to Gethsimane's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Running into things damages panels/bumpers...... Got it -
One other question... In the final pic of the headlight finished, is there still the plastic/glass cover to go over there? To me it looks like it wouldnt fit but not to sure. Keep up the good work anyway, nice to see people doing such good jobs at modding OEM parts

Sooooo block and girdle have to go to get the crank tunnel looked at now. It's looking up on Number 2 main. Not real happy, This engine is turning into a pain in the ass. Hopefully its not going to cost much if it has to be tunnel bored.

1st of Feb facebook just told me
-
Thought about it. But I like the Hand Controller and the simplicity of tuning them
-
Yeah it didn't quite convert real well. At the moment they are telling me to check my AFM as the engine load looks a little erratic. Haven't had time to compare my logs to theirs fully but will play with it when I get the unit back
-
Looks good Stao Hopefully I will have results from the ceramic ss2 inside the next few months. Work is getting in the way at the moment but my engine is just about done

FC-Edit is better for editing but FC Pro is great for monitoring. This is the issue: The Black line is where the data on the right is being taken from. I only have relevant data graphed
