  1. The smaller oil inlet then outlet is only to stop the oil building up pressure in the core. There should be a flow of oil but having the return bigger then the inlet should ensure that the flow is never restricted causing pressure.
  2. And where is this quote?
  3. I think you need a clutch upgrade, sounds like too much power for an Exedy heavy duty, if thats even what it is
  4. I always wanted an RX7, but was to expensive/impractical when I was 18. Skyline has done well, but part of me still wants an RX7. Look forward to seeing how this goes
  5. Also can happen if you have an oil or coolant leak in the rear section of the engine. That one is a bit more obvious though, you would probably see something if there was a leak, but if not check the welsch plugs at the back of the block for any signs of leaks The flywheel doesnt look like its got terribly hot, but hard to say for sure from photos. How much power does the car make? It looks like an Exedy HD clutch, which might not take an awful lot of power over stock. When is the clutch slipping BTW?
  6. why would you want to do this? covert a car that old to IRS? it seems crazy to me
  7. Yeah as above. I think I had trouble yesturday on the web version of the site, but it wasnt for long. Not sure what the problem with the app is?
  8. Damn. Well I'll try it out anyway I spose. Wonder when we will see next gen wheels. Might have to look at what Logitech are offering, one might already be out?
  9. Have to agree, the pics take up too much space for me. I liked the single lines. Think it makes it easier to see what threads I have posted in or read etc. Could we have it as an option to have the thumbnail before posts or not? PranK: Very much appreciate all the updates lately, keep up the good work (Y)
  10. On the topic of wheels, does anyone know if the older wheels work? I have a Driving Force Pro GT and hoping it will work on the PS4. Forgot to test it out on Need for Speed before I sold it
  11. Yeah, email Exedy dealer would probably be the best way to find out the info you are after. It looks nowhere near down to the rivets but, put it back in and go again
  12. Check for some sort of pulse/pressure in the fuel line when the car is priming (at the rail) also check the return line in case the FPR is wrecked I agree with others, it sounds like a fuel problem if you have ruled out spark etc Does the exhaust smell like fuel when cranking?
  13. The problem is the engine cutting though. My Airflow warning was set at 5100mV (off an old tune) which means the Airflow max must be a little higher then that. Looking at my tune, it went up to 5120mV. Seen as his Peak isnt quite there yet (assuming this is peak values from a run where the issue occured) then I don't think its an Airflow signal problem maxing out. It may be worth logging (even on the hand controller) one thing at a time and see if you get a crazy change in Airflow voltage when it happens. It may happen anyway if the engine is cutting. I suggest logging RPM and the other item you want to log just to get a reference for when it does it If the RPM signal goes weird, then I would say it is probably CAS The easiest way to troubleshoot the problem is to find someone with the same car/parts as you and change them over one by one. Bit of a pain in the ass but will soon give you your answer. I'd be looking at CAS or AFM.
  14. Fair enough I'm going to make a new injector harness up with the NIssan plug (8 pin?) at one end and the USCAR plugs at the other end so I can run it nice and neat and be happy that its all new. Have a mate that gets all the Nissan plugs for his stock so shouldnt be to hard once I get some USCAR ones. harness could probably use with a freshen up seen as I've already pulled it apart and re-taped it up once before.
  15. Something different from me, bit of bird photography when I went walking around today. Had a good shot planned but couldnt get there. Birds are a pain, they never do what you want them to do....... Edit-3287 by 89CAL, on Flickr
  16. They should fit, I'm pretty sure when I got mine they were the same lines series 1 and series 2. I would look on the HEL website or email them to be sure. But pretty sure they will be the same
  17. Anyway. Back to PS4 What's the thoughts on Destiny? There seems to be a fair bit of hype about it, and I saw an add for it today so maybe I should look into it.
  18. Cheap blu-ray players if I can get both the ones I have that dont work lol. But at the moment I'm just happy to have a working Playstation 3
  19. Ahhhh the good old days when the cars had wings ALL over them. That shit was great
  20. Which one did you get again? I got my kit from Kudos Motorsport today, it all looks so pretty haha The rail looks pretty cool, although not sure how it would go under a stock manifold. Seen as that isn't a concern for me, I'm not real worried I'm just wondering now if I'll keep the fuel damper or not. I like keeping everything that came on the car (where it doesnt need upgrading/touching) so I'll probably end up keeping it
  21. Lose the whole 'stage 1' upgrades, etc. Tune's dont always stay 100% perfect, in fact most of the time they dont. Differing temperatures for example will make a difference. Colder winter then normal for one As the engine wears it will probably make a difference as well It would be better to log data on a laptop and see exactly what the car is doing when the problem occurs. Hence why it would be a good idea to go see your tuner, see what he thinks. Becuase chances are he has seen it before
  22. use a lead between the plug and coilpack. The wire method rarely works
  23. I'd say take off the top half of the manifold and then you should get it. I managed to get it with a Greddy copy manifold, I'm not saying it was nice, but it was do-able. So all you would need is the gasket that goes between the two halves of the manifold, and to just take a bit more time to do it I've never done it like this, its just a suggestion
  24. Your airflow is getting borderline out of range (high) Your injectors are borderline of reaching maximum Both may be within the warning set in the Power FC. Depends what the tuner has set them to Doesn't explain the problem with the drive from the car, but will explain the warning light I'd say. The Tuner may have set them at those levels, without FC-Edit to look at the settings then If it were me, I'd be getting a Z32 AFM and some bigger injectors, then trying to troubleshoot the problem, because looks like what you have now is not quite enough to do the job safely. It may be a problem with the AFM, and you may find that spending $200-$400 on a Z32 AFM might solve your problem anyway. Without more information though its hard to say for sure. It may be worth talking to your tuner about it so he can see the car and experience the problem
  25. Remember something odd in the pre-race talk from the commentators, or maybe it was during the race James Allen said something about Lewis has won the race once, although he claims to have won it twice. WTF? He doesn't even know how many times he has won the race, a bit like his Monaco Master status. The incident asside, Rosberg is being much more professional about everything. But hopefully they will destroy each other and Dan will sweep in and take the championship. Those Red Bull cars were amazing in a straight line this time round, if they have just taken some downforce out of the car, then maybe the Renault engine isn't so bad, they have just been running to much downforce lol. Ferrari seemed improved, but the car doesn't look real quick in a straight line
