  1. Getting a friend/fabricator to knock one up for me custom to make sure it fits well. not sure on exact design yet. Also, f**k yeah!
  2. Get a 3.5" exhaust but don't get dumps? What's the point of a bigger exhaust if you've still got a restriction up front...
  3. Because it uses all the fuel?
  4. Bonnet goes without saying. I did the sums for mine and figured it was almost as cheap to buy a gtr, and then you get, you know, a rb26 and awd and stuff aswell. May not have been the smartest move...
  5. 32 gtst can be fixed and made to look quite awesome with a gtr front bar and wing, maybe even slightly better than the gtr itself. Personal taste though
  6. Were the postage costs because you didn't collect it in a timely manner? Hardly his fault
  7. looking forward to seeing you ralph, been a while! Think ive got a seat sorted though
  8. Wouldn't you be better off just buying a tesla model X? Would give you all the talking points just as much surely.
  9. Plenty have. Work great, apart from not fitting under the coil covers
  10. I was going to come in and say "why not both" but someone is already here living the dream.
  11. Rev the shit of it and have aircon... (when not revving the shit out of it obviously) would be the goal. From memory the air balancer is 1/3rd overdrive for the a/c, so 8000 even would be giving the ac a lot more speed than a normal one. Thst being said if there's no load and it's alignment is good it should stay on
  12. Intrigued as to the correct belt size for it if anyone knows (ditto for the other belts also)
  13. Drag figures do provide a good idea of power however which can help with the whole dyno calibration shenanigans
  14. numbering system is pretty simple. 7670 is 76mm compressor 70mm turbine. Garrets is nice enough, gt30 size with a 76mm compressor is a gt3076. EFR 8374 is your gt3582 size turbo erf 9180 is gt4088ish sized etc
  15. That video is impressive. Very keen to get mine onto the road again now
  16. Join us.. it is... inevitable...
  17. Easy enough to make it bigger. I'd toyed with the idea of a setup like that myself for quite a while but in the end a better intank solution came up so i'm going to go with that. Weld an extension on it (plenty of space!) and she'll be apples for pretty much anything you can throw at it on 98 i'd think.
  18. Its not really that modern of an engine, I mean what has changed on it since they first went DOHC? What I would define as a modern engine is something with VVL and direct injection. Without that its just a matter of not having a totally shit combustion chamber design and throwing in more boost and timing.
  19. Not very many system's run a twin muffler. My 3" isn't very loud and all it has is a mid muffler and a cannon I think, quite fond of it really, Shame it'll have to go to go bigger
  20. Hecs boosts tax rate to 40%, plus investment income which isn't pay.
  21. More Pictures? That I can do! Not much else.. No engine this week... and I just sold the GTX turbos... *something something dark side*... anyway, more from that photoshoot Down on PI Up in the GC hinterland Hanging out
  22. Bigger cams will only move the power to the right on the graph. Yes there may be a tad more of it but you will loose a whole lot down low. Same goes for putting a different plenum on. So its a trade off. May be worth it, may not, depends on exactly what you want to do with the car. Also note that if you upgrade to the wrong cams (generally anything massive) you will need to delete the VCT solenoid on the intake, which will also hurt low down torque and power. I think the HKS 256mm drop in does let you retain vct? (someone would have to confirm that) so that, or one tha tdoes, pretty much the only one you should realistically go with
  23. That's a lot closer to what I would have expected to see from one of those pumps. I'd strongly suggest doing a walrbo in tank if you're not going E85 and just keeping the tank above 1/3rd for all hard cornering activities. A little inconvenient sure, but its way cheaper, less stuff in the boot and way less noise than the external bosche options people do
