  1. Just over 300,000. Killeran, I'd suggest getting Japanese History Check to prove your KLM, I think its very unlikely a car has done under 7,000klm per year every year of it's life...
  2. mmmm old le mans cars....and the engines sounded better than the new f1 cars
  3. see, that's the problem with external gates....you can't run any motorsport event and they aren't legal on the street. so about from sounding great there isn't a lot going for them
  4. Congrats Liam, great work getting through. I know Kel was stoked with second as well, and if Mel had been 1 sec faster it would have been an all SAU podium. And a GTR took the overall win too, so happy days for Skylines
  5. was it covered in sand I spotted Hanso on a hoist getting a new CV yesterday, car looks nice.
  6. hahah hope that's Liam looks like ben had some bad luck, but at least it is still SAU all over the top of the class....hope those guys keep it together tomorrow. looks like lots of big names fell off today, apparently conditions were terrible this morning.
  7. 150ea, delivered, for 245/45/18 through the club. Spectacular value. plus as a bonus the size corrected the speedo because inaccurate speedo really shit me
  8. good outcome; knocks can be hard to find and fix I put new tyres (federal AZ01) on mine and gave it a wheel alignment. Seems good so far, a lot quieter than the old ones
  9. where are you based? there are suppliers I know of in Melbourne and Canberra, there are threads in the stagea section for both
  10. the stagea ECU is particularly unhappy with extra boost....welcome to the slippery slope that led me to an rb30/highmount turbo/Z32 AFM/big injectors/PowerFC etc etc
  11. yeah Kel mentioned his off was unusual for abloke with his experience. good to see Ben at the top of EM, keep those porsches away!
  12. mine's on the steering column; like you said it is obvious but also easy to see
  13. Good start for Steve and Kel winning EM prologue. And it seems Whitey might be able to drive after all....he won modern in the lambo replacement emo 9.
  14. Thanks everyone for the ideas, the good news is the car is running perfectly on the Power FC now. Based on the input here I was looking into the ECU power (pin 58) and the ECCS relay for issues. I confirmed that while the standard ECU was in: ECU pin 58 had no power, and 49/59 and 109 did not have power when the ignition was on (but the ECU was running fine) The ECCS relay did not click when turning on the ignition, or a few seconds after turning off the ignition All this points to the fact that there was a power supply problem to the ECU which the Power FC did not tolerate, but the standard ECU did not care about. Incidentally, according to the diagram at EN265 in the workshop manual this means the 02 sensor, VTC and standard boost control solenoid were also not working as they share the ECCS relay's power source. None of these issues resulted in a check engine light The same diagram EN326 shows that "#8 10A" supplies power to all of these. When cross checking this to the fuse box on the driver's side, the 8th fuse on the left side is "Engine Control 10A". I guess this is where pin 58's power normally comes from but cannot confirm because this car has a modified loom at the fuse box which means that fuse is not wired in any more. Also, there had never been a fuse at #8 and the car had been running fine; weird. In this case, due to the body loom mods I can't confirm where the standard source was, so we just run a fused 10A supply to the battery. After doing that the PFC ran the car fine, reported the right voltage (12+ v instead of 7.8v) etc. The standard ECU also runs fine, and the ECCS relay is now working correctly.
  15. BTW I think Paul's car looks fantastic So between this one, Ben's R32 and I think there is one other R32 it should looks like a Nissan racing re-union, love it. Once they stop pandering to the sooky Porsche drivers and let R32 into classics I reckon we will see a few more done the same way.
  16. +1! And I hear the crossing last night was pretty bad...hope all the cars and people made it undented.
  17. hey at least you know what the issue is so you can get it sorted. m35-ers, is it correct the 350z brakes fit?
  18. no, but that is a k10 not k11....the bz11 is going fine. interested that you are going to run a GTR turbo on it, that's what I was thinking too for the super-turbo. will be interesting to see how it goes. what is the capacity, 1300cc?
  19. Thanks everyone for the help/suggestions. Just a quick update, I've confirmed the PFC works OK in another car so I'm going to go to work on the loom. I was hoping to get specifics about the mythical missing fuse, but in the absence of that I put 3 engine/ignition related fuses in which were missing, but no luck.
  20. Well, the best plan would be to swap the car out for a stagea for the next 18 years If you are happy to work with getting a baby into the rear of a 2 door, looks into swapping your suspension with someone with a standard setup; that will be by far the cheapest and an easy swap since someone always wants to change their standard stuff for something more hectic.
  21. The "80s Nissan history" force is strong in this one.
  22. Yep it really sounds like you have the wrong disc for the caliper, ie the offset of the disc to the hub is incorrect. If it is out by a mm or 2 and I couldn't return/replace the discs I would space it out with a washer (in fact the d2 kits come with shims for that purpose)
  23. I'm hope I didn't recommend anything too exotic for a street car; probably the Motul RBF600 which is often cheaper from bike shops.
  24. Exactly, you don't want to change the master cylinder size unless you are looking for a different result....just relace or rebuild the standard one.
