  1. lol however i suspect la bomba yo won't be around to answer the question. i was not aware of any colour specific to r32 vspec 1.
  2. Hey dean get a diff shop to sort it out, it's not as easy as just throwing in a nismo or any other kit - there will be existing wear to take into account as well. the nismo kit is nothing special just some particular thickness clutch discs
  3. lol no doubt she'll be driving the race car....its just a question of whether I am allowed to drive the stagea as well or if we are just taking one car. either way it will be huge, would be great to see a decent stagea turn out
  4. sure do...check out what santa brought me last xmas http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sa...ml&hl=santa
  5. a quick update here....2 china turbos gone in 6 months (well, 1 lasted 6 months, the other lasted one week), but I have not decided to ditch them yet. I am getting the turbo core modified to run a larger thrust washer (same failure both times) and see if that works. almost went for a cheap 3040 but I just want to get it back on the road quickly, moving house atm. also switching to gtr injectors (440cc) instead of the standard gtst ones because I've seen over 98% duty cycle a couple of times, that is too close for my comfort. the good thing about the china intake is that it has mountings for either side mount or top mount fuel rails.
  6. I have an EL hand controller in my hot little hands.....however both my cars with PFC at at mechanics atm. I am 99% certain it is the same as the old controller, just coloured and ricier.
  7. no problems at all welding it up, will be as good as new. except....these subframes are very strong and I have almost never heard of a problem with one. get them to check everything really carefully to look for other problems, bad bushes, signs of towing large loads in the past etc etc
  8. that's exactly what happened to me twice. "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice, shame on me"
  9. I did not notice any slack in the fit, it was snug as it should be.
  10. ahh a mix of unlucky, mistakes (mine and others), and running the car harder than pretty much anyone else one here. and most importantly i don't care about covering up failures....lets share knowledge
  11. re the yoko a050 being faster....I should have said I was talking about race use. A050 only come in a medium compound (or super soft as used at superlap), not a hard, so they are not an option unless you can afford a set every track day. full on super sprinting/superlap/whatever is a different story. soft tyres of any brand will outperform sensible/hard tyres from any other brand. eg I ran kumho wets once years ago and took the old blue gtst into the 1.10s at wakie. but who can afford new tyres every session?
  12. what size wheels do you have, and what is the standard tyre size?
  13. well that will make life harder. never seen anyone running a spool in an r200 diff, don't think they exist. can you run gtr diff in a 32 gtst?
  14. lol stealing 20 sec!
  15. springs can control roll, but they will affect weight transfer under braking and acceleration as well as cornering. And hard springs/firm shocks will limit traction. generally, the best way to set the car up is springs and shocks as soft as practicable, and sway bars to control the roll.
  16. strange. i am running tomei cam gears on standard cams without any issues

    Car Ramps

yep that would have been a bastard!
  18. I'll be along...but I'm bringing the 32 race car not the stagea
  19. I'm coming along to texi and the cruise
  20. because the 32 gtr only has a cat temp light, not a cat temp and engine check light it is PFC showing you an error, looks like youv'e found it already. if you can't easily get your hands on another afm to try, swap the 2 around and see if the error now apears as AF2
  21. no shit, the best dodgy fix is to weld the centre up. could well last a while and it will do the trick perfectly. should cost about $20. you will throw the centre away when you get a mech one anyway..... so weld away
  22. approx price from nissan chuckie? i need lhs
  23. schedule H is the fire extinguisher rules http://www.camsmanual.com.au/pdf/10_gen_re...dule_H_Q310.pdf 1.1 Hand-held fire extinguishers: (i) must remain restrained under an acceleration of 25G; (ii) must be capable of removal by the driver (or crew, where applicable) without the aid of tools. (iii) must be inspected by scrutineers at least once every six months, or otherwise prior to competition. This involves visually checking the unit and its mountings for damage, checking the pressure of the contents, and shaking the container to check for settling of the extinguishant. Where practical the extinguisher should be weighed. simply, the scruitineer is saying that they don't beleive a self tapper will meet requirement (i). is there some reason you can't drill right through where you have the self tappers and use a bolt with large washers to hold it instead?
  24. hahah there you go....just where the speed limiter is in real life. btw I've never understood why there is a hoseclamp in those pics kristian!?!
  25. what a grump thready. fwiw i used to run my 33 gtst at 5000rpm in 5th for 30min on the way to and from work each day for almost a year. I hope someone can work out how fast i was going. also, out of interest, if a 33 gtr leaves the mine at 6000rpm for 10-12 minutes in 5th and a 33 gtst leaves town in the opposite direction at 5000rpm for 30 minutes, where will they cross paths? or when will the floor blow out?
