MSPEC - From what I hear its the stainless manifolds that crack not the cast ones, so I'm assuming its the front pipe coz its stainless..... Thanks for the compliment, ur car sounded pretty horn on the straight!!!! The problems started on my last supersprint...

Spot on :)

Great read, been following this thread lately... good for some laughs too :P

What happened to Clayton, did he have a bit of a lose.  hope the car is ok.

Luckily only a small tap on the rear bumper and some paint down the right side but amzaingly no panel damage at all! LUCKY MOFO!

Rex club not happy with itself? Too bad. Would have been a good event except the massive wait when they stopped for tea (OK I've been watching the cricket) so I decided to go home.

Only got a couple of pics due to the holdup and this was the only decent one.

Yeah never good to see a line against a wall :P even if it wasn't a big hit. Clayton - hope it doesn't hit the hip pocket too much and you get back out there in no time.

Whats all this hissy fit about on the wrx forum??

The hold up was due to the fact that we didn't have another set of flaggies to swap over. We can't ask flaggies to stayout from 5pm - 11pm without bringing them in for a break, some food, toilet etc..

Ideally we'd be able to swap them over in 5 minutes if we could get some of the other clubs racing with us to rustle up some flaggies too...hint wink wink nudge.. :P

I'd normally be straight out there but I might end up with Flaggie of the Year :P

Seriously though I'm just unable to be tied to one spot for too long since the spinal surgery. And I agree on the flaggies too, events don't happen without them and they can't be abused or they don't come back. I'll see how I'm going for Sandown as it appears I won't get to race here (in Vic) again.

I finally got a look at what's going on in the other thread mentioned earlier, and there is some bad EGO going on in the Rex club. I just hope ours survives without going there. You have my sympathies Mike because there are clearly some good guys in the club, but it seems some want to use their time in the club or position on the commitee as a weapon and Ego enhancer. Most of us just buy a faster car/bigger engine if our peckers are too small. There is also no room for humour. Time for a reality check.

Feoff, has anyone ever said your car in upir avatar looks like a VN Group A?

Wont be doing another Vic trackday?  Mate if my car is ready we have to tag team my car! Done! And no arguments

'sif I could get my ass in your seat......

You back and on the sauce already? Just wait till I tell the spelling Nazi's :Oh squizzz:

Fair payback for dissin' my mobile BBQ calling it a commonwhore.

Budge I hear you mate, and I bet there are few who put their hands up for commitee jobs because of it. Tell you what, ditch 'em and come join us, just leave the Superman suit behind.

Not to mention there's a lot of idiots online these days as Snowy has just demonstrated with outstanding skill...

:D

Makes it easy to have him as prez so we have a great target. Stops anyone thinking they are too special or precious....

...whats this? Ex-president of WRX club, who now drives a VB Commodore defecting to the Skyline club?

    • Hi...so a "development" here aswell The swap is "done" and car went "test drive" BUT it seems the clutch(maybe gearbox?) is a little bit sad? I bought this clutch kit https://justjap.com/products/xtreme-heavy-duty-organic-clutch-flywheel-kit-nissan-skyline-r31-r32-r33-push-type "Problem" is that the first gear is hard to put into and it seems that the clutch is not disengaged. It was not the problem with the old clutch...(or like sometime the first gear would not get as easy specialy when the fluid was cold) So? Can it be like...bad "install" or is the clutch wrong ((it should not have been) i done research to get the right one) Or is this "normal" with new clutch and needs to be break in?
    • @Duncan I can try  and thanks i did not thought about VIN and part numbers for 33/34. @GTSBoy yeah it looks like iam gonna do that
    • Forgot to include this but this is the mid section of my steering rack that looks like it has a thread/can be turned with that notch mentioned in the post:
    • Hey everyone, Wanted to pick some brains about this issue I'm having with rebuilding my 33 rack (PN is 49001-19U05). All of the tutorials/videos I've seen online are either R34 or S Chassis racks which seem to be pretty straightforward to disassemble but this process doesnt carry over to my rack. Few of the key differences that I've noted The pinion shaft on the other racks bolt on with 3 torx bolts: Whereas my rack bolts on with 2 allen head bolts: These changes are pretty inconsequential but the main difference is how you pull the actual rack out of the housing. The other skyline/s chassis racks can be taken out by tapping the rack out of the body with a socket and it just slides right out. I'm unable to do that with my rack because there's a hard stop at the end that doesn't let the seal/shaft be tapped out. Can also see a difference in the other end of the rack where mine has a notch that looks like you're able to use a big wrench to unthread 2 halves of the rack whereas the other racks are just kinda set in with a punch. My rack: Other racks: TLDR; Wanted to know if anyone has rebuilt this specific model of steering rack for the R33 and if there were any steps to getting it done easier or if I should just give this to a professional to get done. Sorry if this post is a bit messy, first one I've done.
    • I would just put EBC back on the "I would not use their stuff" pile and move on.
