Got pretty much everything sorted on my car now, pretty happy with how its turned out, just have to mount the catch can tomorrow/whenever and wire up the horns

Have a strange problem with my power steering but, Sometimes it will start and work normal, sometimes it will start and the steering will be heavy. Today I started it 4 times, and only 1 time it was heavy. Nothing has really changed in the power steering side since before the engine change.... Must be Hicas related I'd think, even though my Hicas is removed and has been fine for ages

Might need a longer 3" - 2.5" reducer but

Sounds like awesome to.

What I do need but is a 2.5" - 3" straight reducer thats a bit longer then the one I've got. If anyone knows who makes a longer one then the usual 3" long then let me know. Mines just a bit to short and its causing that cooler pipe skew a bit which is putting a couple of other things out of wack

Or if anyone has a longer one (especially in black) that you want to sell me then that will work to :)

theres a couple of little things to clean up that bug me. Using a flash on the engine bay makes all those little things show up lol. Look at it in daylight and it looks better :)

Its all cosmetic (apart from connecting the wastegate vac lines up) stuff to do now, so it can wait till I feel like doing it

saw a white R34 come past work today, had a sunroof black wheels and a realllly different bodykit. It looked and sounded like a GTR, snapped my neck to try and get a look at the boot and didn't see a badge so it must have been a heavily modded R34 GT-T. First time i've seen it. Anyone know anything about it? Sounded nice and looked pretty good but the front bumper was a bit ehhh..

i just saw it again the other day Cal, definitely a GT-T. First time i saw it it was from a bit of a distance, but y/day it drove straight passed me and it is 100% not a GTR..

Yeah the front bar looks a bit standard but i think it had something different about it, either way it didn't really tickle my fancy.

Yeah thats the one I was thinking of. Pretty sure Chris bought it off you Ben? but it has been sold again since then. If so I think it had a GTX3071 and some tasteful mods.

Nice car.

IF its the same one lol

Did it look something like this Sean?

This is my old GT-T i sold it ages ago i think it is still in Mackay.

    • Or, is it a case of what it is like owning an R series Skyline? NFI what the previous owner has done or fiddled with... Ha ha ha After reading through this thread, I went on a bit of a research about the Q50/Q60. Now I'm quite intrigued by them! Is the AWD in them more like a WRX where it's always AWD, or is it more like the ATTESSA in the GTRs? By the sound of this TCU tuning, this sounds like a case of someone has made some real software for it, and you just need the right piece of hardware, and then you license that specific vehicle/TCU. Or is this a case of the software will be really expensive so only a few tuners have it, and you still have to pay a license per vehicle?
    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
