hahaha

honestly why sell an R33 turbo to get a NA lancer if you're a performance car enthusiast?? listen to us all on SAU.. we all deal with the cops who hate modified cars. its something you deal with for the love of driving...

so are you a skyline or car enthusiast?

did you even have a choice in the matter or did you dad sell the R33 and buy this for you?

the R33 wasn't yours was it?

God you been on my back all the time havent you, once u reach my old cars stage of mods than you can talk

I was driving around in a manual Lancer in Syd, and just gave back a hire Getz.. Any manual 4cyl is loads of fun on the street. You can rev them hard and your not doing anything dangerous...good fun. An auto means its simply going to be a nice quiet car to A to B in....which means you will be retired whilst im scooping up dog shit from driveways because cars have left me broke :)

Lol, i always use the trip tronic, but yeah the auto goes with the comfort.

:) auto n/a lancer :O

if you really wanted a lancer, you should have got a evo6 etc

I wanted a brand new car.

I hear you going to a cheaper to run car but I would at least have gone for a manual. Not having a gear stick was what I hated most about a non powerful car.

Nice looking car anyway. :)

Thanks man, but yeah as i said b4 just bout the comfort :D

piccies no workie :(

I think they do :)

your move makes a lot of economic and practical sense. after a few more years of thrashing around in my skyline i plan to get a similar car

Thank you!!! Someone understands!!!! :sorcerer:

welcome to MIVEC yo...I've had it for a few years in 6A12 engine....new rims man at least..and some neons :)

Yeah rims are a must! lol. But i will have to pass on the Neons lol

lol kriz... sif not get a sik arse VL on gas and put VZ interior in it if u wanted new...

:)

interesting choice... probably would have opted for an S15 at that price range and being pretty newish.

So whats going to happen once ur off your Ps? Apparently those Hyundais are getting pretty "sporty"

:)

From what I remember Kris is a uni student with no job... keeping a Skyline with no job is um dumb.

Nice car man, enjoy!

well obvious it isnt much of an issue cause i dont know many people without jobs that can keep any car... let alone buy a brand new one.

God you been on my back all the time havent you, once u reach my old cars stage of mods than you can talk

RB20 powah will never make as much as the 33 did lol

From what I remember Kris is a uni student with no job... keeping a Skyline with no job is um dumb.

:P a fine example of one of sau's finest with no idea.

Yeah,... what he said, like when I'm 58 :(

its very sensible but aren't you afraid your going to get bored pretty quickly and just end up back in something quick?

...I am bored just by the thought of it...

but then again I am the king of spending money on unnecessary frivolity so my opinion is pretty worthless as far as financial decisions are concerned!

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
