For price and Game,

Put ur Ford GT vs the Z-Tune.

ill put my money on the Z-tune.

R390 vs Ford GT..? dont make me laugh lol.. its out of the Ford GT's game.

The Z-Tune vs the Ford GT would be a good matchup

and prove to me the R390 road car is faster than the Ford GT

Being a owner of a 33 GTST... i would love to have a xr6t anyday!

STOCK FORM'S...

XR6T specs:

- 4.0 VCT DOHC straight six Garret40 turbo (ball bearing)

- 240kw with 480Nm torque

- Engine size: 250 cubic inch

R34 GT-T specs:

- 2.5 VCT DOHC straight six (it's a ceramic turbo, turbo size x2 smaller than xr6t's)

- 206kw with 340Nm torque

- Engine size: 180 cubic inch

Not only that, XR6T has 140Nm more torque in stock form.

People, never EVER under estimate the capabilities of a XR6T, it will FKN OWN you! So, id suggest you never try to drag a xr6t at the lights.

People in the XR6 Turbo forums are doing 11 to 12 seconds with STOCK internals and stock turbo. Check out their time sheet http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum

SO UP YOUR R34 GT-T  Preffer a Aussie beast over a Jap beast

Dont know if you guys have read my for sale thread, but im selling my GTR as im being given a new XR6T by the old man (very fortunate i know). I dont wanna get rid of my car but its an offer i cant refuse.

Im still in a bit of debt with my skyline. Im only 20, and with the price of housing and all, i cant seem to get ahead. My dad is giving me his ute which we have had for 6 months (we barely use it, has 2000km on clock) and ill be free of debt. Not only that, but i planned on modding the nutz off my zilla and it would of taken ages to save the amount i wanted. Its one thing dreaming of modding a GTR but paying for it would kill me.

The plan is to mildly tune the XR6T and own it for a couple years, then save enough, or from investments have enough money to buy a 34 GTR, and have enough money to mod what i like when i like (instead of saving).

As i say, im hating trying to sell my car but its a solution to my debt problems for the time being, and will be a good solution to me buying a 34 GTR with enough money to modd it in the next few years.

Still love SAU tho.

Haha classic :ninja: One thing I don't like about my Skyline is taking it out to Mudgee, she dont like dirt that much. Thats what any aussie built car has over a jap car. They are torture tested in the simpson desert. Good thing dad dosent mind lending me his Landcruiser any more :(

hey these times are not done on stock internals i know spiro and master g and if i spent that much money on a nissan i would definately be looking in the 9's

cheers.

for 1 thing lets look at "simple" mods or "stage 1" mods and thier outcomes for both cars, "power mods" forget handling we already know that outcome.

xr6t, can run 8psi on 4lt's with a bloody ecu edit and in the series 1's must have the traction control turned off and walla, your @ 300rwkw's ++, no need to change exhuast system though some extra power "could" be found there certainly. with an injector upgr and depending on what your chaseing maybe a fuel pump your significantly over that.... power wise that is un friging believeable.

wonder if the ford t would fit my line >>>> jokes

but seriously that is big power an torque, they (ford) detuned thier turbo's to keep the v8 faster but its not very difficult to monster that, void warranty and get an ecu edit which are common as AND cheap as.

80rwkw's with a frign ecu edit is some seriously unrealised power gains... though a fmic swap couldnt hurt thier stockies are punny shite

ok now ive heard it all stop talking shit and pick the phone up and speak to spiro at autotech in granville...and u think an ecu edit and 300rwkw's and thats it....... rite buddy

also u can still have manufacture's warranty and still have 300rwkw at the back.....

cheers!

Noob... he said your warranty will be void

I agree with all he said.. XR6T has 190-200rwkw in stock form, so to gain 300rwkw for that beast isn't dificult!!

infected flow - read the xr6 turbo forums, it wont hurt.. These guys are running amazing levels of power with minimum mods!

Read this and weep

"" Among all the recent developments at Herrod Motorsport, some spare time was found and we've been working hard on a few performance upgrades for the Ford Typhoons.

This package is one that has been designed exclusivly for the Typhoon/Tornado vehicles.

With the fitment of our Herrod Turbo engine pipe, cat back stainless exhaust, BMC Filter, new spark plugs, bigger injectors, a hi-flow fuel pump and a Stealth tune box, we have been able to lift the power up from the stock 205rwkw to 288rwkw. This equates to 380kw at the flywheel, which gives the car a lot better acceleration figures and better overtaking at highway speeds.

The price for this total package, including a custom tune, is $5500.00. "

http://www.herrodmotorsport.com.au/home.asp

All this from stock intercooler... ofcourse all this is done in a workshop, get the parts and do them your self. shouldnt't cost you more than 3k to gain 90rwkw

    • Just had this happen to me too.  R32 GTR.   Also broke "just before going out onto the track" - someone up there is looking out for us... Very scary since I was about to do a narrow street course with zero run-off and curbs everywhere. Many people on here upgrading to billet uprights and R35 bearings?   Or buying new OEM knuckles?  I am not keen to replace with another s/h 30 year old fatigued part.
    • Top off with distilled water and see what happens. If you keep losing coolant then you know to start looking.
    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
