Workin' it, Jerkin' it, putting the smoke back inside big machines and stuff.

Life is like a box of chocolates, out in the sun on a hot day...... melted into an unrecognizable mass of sh1t!

Working till lunchtime and driving back home to melb. Then I've got a 3 day weekend. It will be nice as I've worked the last 10 days straight here in hot Horsham. 39.4 degrees today!

Nothing inspiring people. Im on a plane early to fly to the other side of the country so i can walk up stairs to the top of 20mtr high, 190deg C tanks all day...lots of fun :)

So many interesting things to be doing and we are all basically beign army ants and going to work :(

i'll be right here on my couch spamming on sau. Why? cos i am home from work sick with nothing better to do just like today :) . If i can be bothered i might track down a filter and do a service on chloe and put my lockbar in too.

Bitumen...not interesting at all...its hot, smelly and id rather be poolside with the looks of whoever is hot in hollywood this month pulling big bank and the women...but oh well. Sweat, body odour and climbing up on hot tanks is it for me :)

My Thursday is more exciting than normal.

I resigned from my job on Monday...and they made me leave Tuesday on full pay for the next few weeks...

So Thursday for me consists of...

Checking the oil in my R33..cos I topped it up today

Going down and getting breakfest from my fav. cafe and have a few coffees and read the latest Fast 4s some1 gave me today.

Head into the city for a going awaya party for another person who left recenelty..

Free lunch from a vendor looking to butter me up before I start my new job.

Meeting with my mate form Uni who has started his own business. I think he is looking for projects also...

Then hooking up with Alan (saff_cossie), for another coffee.

Then heading down to Port Melb to pick up some 2nd hand FTO bits from an ex-club memeber so I can ake a fully sick Ipod setup in my FTO...

Then try and make it to the mini meet to see whats going on...lets hope I can make it. But if all goes to PLan, Alan and I will be drinking cos it will be hot as.

Sums up my thursday.

haha, I'm bored already.

After a big day SCUBA diving today, I might start the hunt for a 3.0l block and get stuck into building an engine for Red.

The day is going to be too windy to spend in the garage fitting the thermofan setup to Purple.

Chris, man of leisure, how about hook me up with some FTO seats for my Lynx. Better yet let's catch up somewhere so I can try then on again just to make sure first.

    • Congrats on the career change!  I did something similar at the start of the year too, left IT / corporate after nearly 2 decades. Soooo when's the motor coming out for the spark plug change?
    • Hi guys, long time no post as per usual! It's been a busy year so far, the biggest thing being a new job.  After 28 years in the automotive industry I decided it was time for a change.  I was losing faith in the industry and where it's heading.  Now in a completely different industry (electrical) working for a company that manufacture water pump contollers.  Not as sexy as cars but it's an interesting,  challenging industry. I now don't work Saturdays which is a bonus!  It's still 50-55 hours a week but having Saturdays ack after 28 years of working them is awesome!   No news on the GT-R but i did decide to add some more JDM goodness into my life....           1990 300 ZX.  She's not perfect but for a 35 year old car she ain't bad!  Just going to tidy it up a bit and enjoy it.  It's currently auto but will start stockpiling everything for a manual swap. It WILL distract me even further from the GT-R but im hoping not for too long! It somewhat proves a 6'8" freak can fit in a 300 ZX.  Sort of...  I drove it home from the previous owners house in Melbourne via Black Spur and Merton Gap (2 awesome bits of Victorian twisty road) and it was amazing!  Handles so well!!!   I don't think it would be worthy of a full build page but I'll post up some of the upgrades here if anyone is interested?  Cheers guys!
    • End game is to: - Remove all the slop from old worn parts - Adjust setup so that the wheels actually fit and the car is drivable (currently it is not because of the extreme rubbing on the guards).   Progress over the last couple of days, removed the rear hubs! Next steps: - Buy bushings - Replace bushings/bearings on hub - Reinstall
