what's your average fuel consumption and how do you normally use your car?

i was told my R33 GTS-4 would do about 11L/100km. i'll normally be using my car for short trips to the train station during weekdays (peak hour, so i can get to work in the city.. ughh...) and longer trips across melbourne over the weekend. do you think 11L/100km is a realistic average?

My GTR averages 15 to roughly 24L per 100, depends on the road

My supra around town is about 14L unless im being good with the throttle, but it uses next to nothing on the highway with constant throttle

My berlina uses 10L MAX around town, and basically runs on a drop when its on the highway

See the pattern? The more boring the car the less petrol it uses

low 11's / 100km. R34 GT-T, manual. full 3" stainless exhaust, manual boost controller. Tyres constantly at 38-40psi

But that's just burbs driving, mainly 60km/hr. So full city stop/start driving, 11.low/100

If i do some trips with some 100km/hr limits, i can get into the high 10's.

Never payed attention to how much my car takes but i've gotten almost 300km to a tank but usally arround 210-280 depending on how i drive and i've used up arround 1/4 of a tank hauling ass to work in 15 minutes or a little less, all i know is that i had to ease off a little 3/4 the way their because i saw the exaust temp light on (take that you sorry ass excuse for a turbo).

I'm not trying to brag, but one thing I always find puzzling about these fuel economy threads is that I get better fuel economy in my stagea than many people get in their skylines. Same engine, and more weight in the wagon (they're about 200-250kg heavier) and AWD and yet I'm getting 11-12L/100km driving to and from work (~30-45min drive). My car's not slow either (see my sig).

Obviously being in Adelaide the traffic isn't as heavy here but the difference shouldn't be more than 1-2L/100km at the most.

I would expect skylines to get less than 10L/100km or at least around 10-11L/100km in daily driving.

My stagea was doing 13-14L/100km when I bought it (stock) and with an exhaust, apexi SAFC, some ignition timing and a good tune, its now doing 2-2.5L/100km BETTER even though I'm running higher boost.

Hopefully you can improve your fuel economy too :D

I do very, very short trips (~5/6mins in the morning to work and same back home...could be three minutes if no traffic around...I could walk, but can't be bothered...it's cold in the morning anyway)

Around 14~18l/100km R33 GTS-T.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
