very nice build... very well done.

2 things that might be worth a look would be on page http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...html&st=680 the air ram setup looks great maybe a little shallow but you are limited a little there. Very effective and something most average people don't consider.

But I wondered if a missed opportunity to direct some of the airflow over the 2 fuel rails and maybe a finned fuel rail to get more fuel cooling. The other is the strut brace... you would be surprised how much it would be flexing. a Straight one over the ram tubes will fit and work much better.

i see where your coming from, all the points you make are valid, i just didnt have the room. the strut brace is designed to run this way but around the back, but the engine sits so far back that it was easier around the front. the fuel rails sit 5mm under the bonnett so couldnt go over with the brace. you can with factory manifold. wasnt concerned with fuel temp as e85 is cold and it chews it, and some airflow will reach them.

went through a little stage of depression. but decided to keep it for now.

engine is back in car with new sump fitted and all is good.

have organised a lsd shim kit off baron so should have that in and ready within the next week,

just need to swap on some tyres then ready too go.

unsure why I missed it....but why is this for sale on my105 stu!?!?!?!?!

Can we redo the exhaust, and take it to texi? 3Rd gear off the mark frying tyres?

How would we go with a pair of "butt" plugs in the exhaust to just take the edge of the exhaust note and give it a run at texi?

I have an old pair of 245 semi's on a set of SSR's that you could fry for the day if you like...

yeh im keen to have a go, maybe some steel wool will do the job.

sounds just like mine lol.

pulled the diff centre out last week, pulled the centre apart only to find it was assembled differently to the nismo expoded view pics.

found workshop manual which then showed it was correct, so figured the nismo kit went together differently so re-assembled it as per the nismo instructions. (all in japanese mind you.)

feels alot tighter on the bench, but ill see how it feels on the track. i tried to find some thicker pre-load shims but they dont do them for the gtr centre, only the gtst. even tried slipping an extra clutch disk in but wouldnt fit.

put a good pair of second hand yokohamas on the front, will chenge the rears after a few skids on the weekend.

also going to wire a reverse lockout button in as im a little cautious when hitting 5th gear as reverse gear is along side it.

it has a lockout solenoid from factory, but only locks out reverse with ignition off. so wiring a momentary switch in so i have to press button to select reverse when ignition is on, otherwise reverse is locked out at all times.

Stu...stop messing about with the pansy 346 cuber

and get

This

    • The 296mm rotors are the R33 turbo brakes. The 310mm rotors are the R34 turbo brakes. The calipers are nearly the same, but not. They're the same caliper but the R34 caliper has longer legs so that it sits out far enough to go over the rotor. The pads are the same for both. When you say, "I bough tsome EBC"....did you just mean pads? Or rotors? 310mm rotors fit under 17" wheels. There may be some wheels without enough clearance though. I can't fit my fingers between the barrel of my wheel and the "corners" of my R34 calipers, but there is plenty of room behind the spokes. This is on Enkei RPF1. You can fit 324mm rotors inside a 17" wheel, but I'd be willing to bet that it would be close to impossible with the Nissan/Sumitomo caliper (using an adapter, of course), because the Sumitomo caliper is fatter than the Brembo caliper that is supposed to go on the 324mm rotors.
    • Hi. Can someone tell me what brakes(and mainly WHERE) can i buy brakes on R34 GTT? I bought some EBC which SHOULD go on my car(i have GT but it has GTT brakes) but it does not fit, Brakes are "too" small(296mm) Are 310mm be good or? I have 17 inch wheel so no "big boys" but for me driving i just need one that fits and i can get here in EU/Czech.
    • Since winter isn't that harsh anymore in Poland, i will definetely drive it 365 days a year 😉. But if the snow hits i will try it for sure and let U know. Only swap i am planning to do is of course R34 GTR front 😍.
    • Hey. Very valuable information about pitwork, I will pay attention when buying any consumable parts 🙏 As for the carpets - I got a handful of information from nengun, from which it appears that indeed the carpets for the driver's side are OEM. They are not able to show me any pictures due to the long chain of different sales entities but after I place the order, as soon as the goods arrive at the nengun warehouse from which they will send the shipment to me they can send me photos and if my purchase differs from OEM I can immediately return it / cancel the purchase. I think I will give it a try 😉. Of course i'll let you know what's what as soon as i get them P.s. I know the topic is not relevant to the thread, but both nengun and amayama have these SICK 😍 trunk room lamps available. Do you know anyone who ordered them? I need to have one in my car
