thanks mate, but with each addition, a number of challenges present themselves.

For some reason the manufacturer of this manifold decided the factory TPS switch doesnt fit. Ill have to hunt down a suitable replacement. It looks a little like a earlier Commodore one will fit.

The Map sensor is easy enough to plumb in. Doesnt like like they run a IAC controller. The port match actually isnt too bad.

And i have to lower the fuel rails about 15mm to clear the underside of the bonnet. Guess it wasnt designed to fit under a Skyline hood. All looks to be easy enough but time consuming.

But at the end of the day i am very happy with the quality of the manifold.

love the mufflers. love the intake. keep on trucking mate!

That manifold is pure porn. So want your car now! Was looking at a few NA things for a track car and nothing comes close to an alloy Chev. Was thinking VQ but really need to go forced induction etc. The only things that holds back the Chev is the availability of a nice slick gearbox. But, yes a Chev powered R32 or Kraut is very appealing

shit yeah. don't sell it to troy! actually sell it to troy, but only on the condition I either get to go halvies with him, or I get to buy his 'old' 32.

I can't wait to hear it with that inlet mani and the fancy mufflers. it's going to sound pretty special I think.

good thing about new job is im home at 20 to five every day.

Made throttle cable today, but not happy with the actual cable. it is tight. ill lubricate it and if that fails ill use another one. It was a redline universal job so might not be much chop. at least the brackets are done.

going to start match porting the inlet manifold at a mates machine shop on thursday night. also going to lower the fuel rails for bonnet clearance.

plumging the rails, map sensor and booster is straight forward.

when can i "cum" around to see this thing stu?

looks sexy

So any day after 5 is ok? hahahhaha

keep up the good work mate!

so see you at the Boston op south day Stuart??

+1.

Chubbs how much do you think we need to bribe Boz to let us pretend we're instructors so Stuart can takes for a lap or 30.

Oh, and Stuart, stunning dude. Stunning.

thanks guys, payed Boz today so definately have a deadline now. but at least it is a realistic one.

I hope i get a chance to drive it before the track day so i can get used to it so i dont embarress myself infront of you all lol. Ive only driven it off the trailer and into the workshop when it was RB20 powered. Might have to let someone who can steer give it a crack. But really looking forward to OP and meeting you all.

Still lots to get done, hope to give the exhaust a crack next weekend, but away at F1 the weekend after so nothing will get done. Mostly fiddly stuff left now.

sounds like he already has his hands full.

Great to see its getting that close. I can't make it out there on the day but I hope everything goes well.

Just dont let bozman enter it in superlap with him driving :P

  • 2 weeks later...

a little progress over the last week, the car is actually off getting the exhaust fitted, ill get it back next week. After having a play with it it was to tight to go out the same side with both pipes so have to split them. He is going to squash the tips so they are a big oval shape to maintain good ground clearance. Should look trick. the fuel rail modifications are almost finished, just have to get the AN weld-ons fitted. have all the rest of the plumbing ready to go. sourced a tps switch which ended up being a Chev one, still having trouble sitting down after paying for it. once that is done and a small amount of match -porting then the manifold can go on for good.

have been playing with strut tower braces as the normal style will no longer fit. Have to go around the front or back of the engine, similar to a subaru or commodore one. Guys from Whiteline are looking to see what will go close, then ill have to make end-plates to suit.

Good that something is getting done while im in melbourne this weekend, want to make sure its ready for OP in may. Ill post pics when she comes back.

thats a concern, i might have to take it for a secret shakedown first so it doesnt shit itself infront of every-one. Hopefully any engine issues will make them self known on the dyno at Unigroup. Stuff like oil surge etc ill have to wait and see. Ill have to get a basic suspension setup into it as well. Probably have to give Gary a call. Does anyone know if i have to have the windows done or is the net O.K?

I think everyone that frequents SAU will be at the track when this thing laps for the first time!

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
