Those Corvettes are pretty nice though, and bloody good value for money in the states.

Well done to the GTR, but look at the speed of the Corvette. Once it gets going, it owns both the Porsche and GTR

Straightline vs Corners. GTR and Porsche never claim to be straightline speed demons but Tarmac, twisty windy thrillers, Where the corrvette is sold as the equal to these vehicles when it clearly isn't designed for what it is marketed for. Another example springs to mind the chrysler cross fire.
