hey guys,

2 weeks ago i did an oil change on my car, and as i usually do, i bought 2x 4Ltr Bottles because i like putting 5 Ltrs in to the car.

But unconciosly ive poured all 8 Ltrs into the car and thought nothing of it.

So a few days ago my cars started to smoke a little and only then did i realise what i had done.

So obviously ive gotton rid of about 3-4 Ltrs from the car but the car is still burning some off and smoking.

So im guessing theres still oil in the system and was wondering which other way can i get rid of all the excess oil? without waiting for the car car to burn it, Which wouldnt be a good idea anyways..................

any help would be appreciated

O.o rb20 takes( my car) 4.-4.4l but YOU shouldnt over fill ur oil. on the dipstick 3/4 to max at 8o degree's( operational temp) is the measurement to much and to low can cause issues

Hi.

Perhaps you should remove the sump plug and let some oil drain out until you have the right level.

did you remove any oil before you put the 8L in? just checking

All you can do is wait for it to (hopefully) burn away. don't be suprised if it runs like a pig for a few hundred k's either.

If you want another crack, empty all the oil out the sump and put 5L back in the top

nice job. sorry it's off topic but this may make you feel a little better. Back when i worked in a servo some twit bought a 5 litre oil bottle and poured the BLOODY LOT into the petrol tank of daddy's brand new hsv clubsport. he came back in a cloud of smoke complaining of a dodgy batch of oil i had sold him and when i checked the security tapes i pissed myself. bet daddy didn't. and yet he had 4 mates in the car with him and no one uttered a word.

the rb25 sump CAN NOT take 8Ltr's "ParagOn"

if u wer to fill it more than 4.4Ltrs of oil..

it(oil) would start to go up to ur through to fill up ur engine..

depending on how much oil u put in.....

as in his case.. 8ltrs...lol

^^ Yeah cause overfilling the oil means it will go into the combustion chamber...you know less than he does you fool.

Seriously, you needa be more careful from now on dude, or just have someone who knows what theyre doing work on your car instead.

I'd be more worried about spinning a bearing because of the air bubbles the crank is causing when hitting the oil. chances are you've messed up the crancase pressure and oil is coming out of your turbo seal, PCV or even your beathers.

drop the oil but wait a while for the oil to run down the walls of the block, crank and rods, you could re-use the oil you put in there just make sure you dont contaminate it.

    • Started sifting thru my brakes to decide which ones I will run on Clem   Made me think I should just put them all on Silver...for when brake fade just isn't an option   Should be able to bump rotor up from 343x32 to 348x36 off Supra. Not sure if the Supra annulus is right for the Alcons or APs but trying g to find a used Supra\M4 rotor to test fit The Alcons seem to gain 1-2mm clearance which all helps

    • Probably speedometer itself if the odometer is ticking. If the needle is stuck from a bit of grease or something that can cause it to stay at 0. Or a cracked solder joint in the speedometer can do it too.
    • Thanks Fella’s   to take this off topic and to elaborate a bit more. I have an rb25/30 going into a r32 GTST.. expected to make around 600-700hp. Would you?   A) R34 GTT box   B) CD00#?  I’ve seen a few posts about the CD swap and sounds fairly involved with making it fit etc but if it’s worth the work then I’ll go that way
    • Lower at the hubs. Funny I forgot to mention that part. Do this pull here I turned the camera off too soon but the graph shows a drop at the top and that was because the pipe from the turbo blew off. The tuner said we could’ve made possibly another 15 whp. He also added if I switched to ethanol we could up the boost some more as well. I was comfortable capping it at the most of 20 pounds. Turns out the turbo pipe just needed a new worm clamp. Got home replaced that then did a third gear pull from 3k to 7200 rpm and the power was great to the top. I just got an ecu mounting bracket from IEE that I need to try and get everything to fit well. It’s a PITA to get the harness and ecu fit properly behind that kick plate
