They are on rowdy gtr's old car on here or his current one..? i think he said his were 18x10 when i was picking his brain about them.. did you get all adjustable arms? should be able to fix the offset a little with them.

Looking good otherwise Andrew :P i think you've sparked some inspiration in me finally.

if the weather is fine this weekend i'm getting stuck in.

Suspension and brakes are all stock at the moment... I'm leaving the two most important parts of the car until last.

.... and yes, I'm counting on the 3-4 degrees neg camber to fix the offset issue at the front... I hope that guard rolling will be sufficient to take care of the rear.

I'm not worried anyway... If I need to get the guards panel beaten to make them fit, so be it. dunno.gif:P

Check out the g-sensor that I bought... Don't ask how much this was. My sphincter is still puckered after handing over my credit card :)

If you dont mind me asking, how much d!ck does nissan stick in your butt for one of them??

i think i was in need for one after i decided to pull one apart to see how it worked.. tho i do have 2 more at home i think.. but are also used..

looking sweet merlin. good thing you were on top of the pipes. all the cheap chinese coolers and piping kits, and dump pipes for that matter were all shocking on the inside. overhang where welded, dags, swarf etc a-plenty. the japanese stuff is clean enough on the inside to lick if you so desire... and sometimes you do... :P

so when is my invite to come over and help...

Retail pricing was $2300.00...

You should be able to get it for under $2000.

Good to see your making some progress mate all is looking good to. Looks like it wont be to far away from getting sorted. You caught up with me pretty quick.

No way... I'm still on my interim engine. I still need to sort out the proper powerhouse :)

Suspension and Brakes are being sorted as we speak, so it shouldn't be too long before I can give it a shakedown and start tuning the setup...

Andrew,,,the chassis rails look dirty. I'm shattered.

................. I'm ashamed to say that I have actually cleaned up those chassis rails with turps and metho :):(:)

Motherf**ker!!!!

Can you afford good suspension and brakes anymore??? :/

What are you using suspension wise considering it a track car?

Rhys

Hey Andrew,

Did i read you have it started?? with the Amuse exhaust on?? please tell me how it sounds!! or record it for me?? i am dying to know how the thing sounds. it just collects a bit of dust and makes no noise at home for me..

Yeah sure is mate...

It's running on a very rough old tune on a dodgy Power FC, but it's running :)

Very deep, loud, throaty growl to it... I love it, but there's no way you could drive it on a daily basis. It's 100% cop-bait.

I tried to take a video of it for you, but I realised that my stupid Sony T200 point and shoot camera can't take any video!!!! WTF

Any weight target overall of the GTR planned once the project is completed?

There's a LOT of tuning of suspension and getting used to the car before I start chasing the SERIOUS weight reduction stuff...

But after I "speed hole" all the non-structural metal panels, carbon doors, carbon boot, lexan windows, cut out the boot floor, etc etc, I'll be very happy to get it down to 1300kgs.

The last ($$expensive$$) push for weight target is a while off yet though.

Need more big signings at work to pay for my road car, mortgage, holidays, booze, drugs, etc, and way down the bottom, lowest priority is this silly fun car :D

Everything adds up (very quickly)

If anyone is keeping track of the cost of the parts that have been put on this car, don't tell me... I DON'T want to know :(

My brake setup (on order):

FRONT:

AP Racing CP5555 6-Pot Calipers

AP Racing J-Hook 355mm discs

Ferrodo DS3000 Pads

BF Goodrich braided lines

REAR:

AP Racing CP7600 4-Pot Calipers

AP Racing J-Hook 343mm discs

Ferrodo DS2500 Pads

BF Goodrich braided lines

Hydraulic Handbrake

Tilton Lever Brake Bias Adjuster

Yes, I know that it will be massively rear biased, but I'll see how I go. Might give me a reason to put in a pedal box and balance bar ;)

My suspension will be (on order):

DMS 50mm giant strut coilovers

Competition valving

6xxlbs front springs

4xxlbs rear springs

Still pulling the linkages together, but so far, I have:

Cusco front upper arms

Cusco rear upper arms

Cusco tension rods/radius arms

Haven't decided on swaybars yet... Probably just go for adjustable Whiteline ones to start with and see how they go.

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
