So how are the battles competitors decided?

Do we decide on the day, or are they organised beforehand?

Do we have get to decide, or is it all arranged?

Do we battle the same person all afternoon, or does it differ per run, or just per layout?

Also, what's the knockout round?

Sorry for all the questions, just curious and excited!

Battles are run in no order at all...

you simply line up in two lines, one for each side of the skid pan.. and race whoever you line up against

So because of this you can just line up next to your mates or a car that you really wanna race against...

just organise it with that person just before the run and line up together....

Its all very simple....

The knockout round is a semi-new idea that we are running with for this DECA day...

Everyone will run though the knockout battle map...

The winner of each battle will then move on the the next round...

this will continue until we come down to our final winner...

Don't worry about asking questions... the more questions that are asked now...

the less time is wasted on the day.. which mean the more driving that will happen

Cool thanks.

Just throwing it out there, but I'm a very inexperienced driver in a NON turbo Supra. So if anyone equally inexperienced and/or driving a less powerful car is looking for an even match up in the knockout round just give me a shout! I just don't want to pull up against a skilled driver in a GTR :)

i havent driven a proper car in anger in ~18months,(stagea is very diff) and had my 32 a month, and barely driven it... battle? you got torque on your side haha

See I don't even know how torque would be an advantage let alone how to make the most of it! But if you really want I'd be up for a battle.

Know how ya feel, I'm still in the process of ordering stuff that I hope to have ON the car before DECA and I'm away in Melbourne this weekend... (I've lined up to pickup a part while I'm away... dedication lol)

might need overnight parts from japan...

SHIT my car is back on track but forgot to leave the rear strut brace with the mechanic haha

Damn! Beat me to it. I was going to say 15k worth of overnight parts from Japan :P

For that matter, who has actually received something from Japan overnight?

    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
    • You have a knack for photography my friend. It makes the 86 look like a complete bucket. The 34 went with you to Europe and back. It's special. (we all feel the same about our 'shitboxes' that every bystander seems to absolutely love)
    • It's been quite the ordeal but hey, at least you figured it out.
    • The final part arrived today to un-clampify and simplify the intake Who would have though a 1/2" hose stainless bulkhead fitting designed for below waterline bilge pumps would be what I needed Test fit on a 3" offcut I had laying around to see if it would work, and it worked a treat All going well the intake will be on its "final version" tomorrow
