dash looks good boys... will be doing mine this weekend.

ive read that the 3m spray glue is good to use also?? yes?? no?? dont know?? should i repeat the question?? or is selleys qwik grip the only shit to use??

using pegs is a bloody good idea too... must get some of them yes.

the 3M stuff is good no matter what its trying to do. good product. i just use the quick grip because i have for years on interior stuff. I used to make hetic boot instals and trim them in vinyl and alike.

biggest 2 concerns is that it isnt to wet or think as it will seep through the fabric and that it will stick like buggery.

Nah its only fun when your running in/tuning/finishing off interior on the drive to scrutineering!!!!

But yeh good plan!

i heard that you was coming to lend a hand this weekend tim? it is a long weekend after all so even more can be achieved.

biig update

std capasity & block, but internals are free

pretty much free aslong as you don't change sohc to dohc, so porting, valvs, lifters, cams.... are free

ortiginal can be highflowed

ecu and wireing loom is free.

cooler is free up to 600x300x80, aero is from any model in the series (so gtr)

shocks and springs and brakes are free, buses can be upped to adjustible nolathain....no rose joints :)

wow so all that plenem shit is off a gtr n u put it on an rb20 ? how much it cost? and how long did it take to modify ? looks f**king awesome

took a while to do, cost me $350 for the plenum from japan (cause local guys rip you off), not sure on the price for the parts, i'll have to look back and see.

Nice work you two  Looking excellent!

I got a GTR rear diff cover on the weekend, that should be be a simple bolt on to allow the fitment of the rear ABS sensors correct?

unless you have a gtr subframe it won't work, as the gtr runs 2 studs to secure it to the subframe, and the gtst runs 4 studs. I talked to benson, and we can't run a gtr subframe (even tough they are identilce bar the diff mounting holes)

Thanks for the info big fella.

I'm diggin the black powder coating too. I'm seriously considering a similar theme applied to my 26 greddy plenum...

Could you post up a pic when you have i all plumbed up under the plenum.

Cheers

far out that's good value for money.

just been seam welding the buggery of the brake bracket. Surprisinly it's made a huge difference, once i throw some rhs at it, it'll be stiffer than my pants when i see your sister

Damn that looks awsome...

I just hope 6x 45mm tb's isn't to much tb for a little 20... either way it's going to sound awsome at 9k!!!

... yeah, these gts-t builds get's me thinking.

... overbore, shortskirt light weight pistons, lightweight rods, prepped crank and lots of ballancing. A little port work, some big ol cams, gtr itb's/inlet, ported stock manifold and small billet turbo. Super light flywheel and 4:11 gears.

Uuuuuber revvy.

    • oh they were with that motor, you need to remove the engine to change the spark plugs (don't have to, but it does make it easier)
    • I certainly fall into the annoyed camp, but glad to hear that if it's happening at low boost then I'm not likely going to blow a turbo and end up with metal shards in my oil. Just feels like it prevents me from really driving it without hesitation and "peak" performance. Wonder if it's the VCAM, it did an impressive job of shifting the torque curve and faster spool, but maybe now it's "too fast" and there's too much air for how open the throttle is.  Based on some other threads, will also do some reading on synchronizing the actuators. They are the default actuators that come on the Garrett's and I would think they would be set the same coming from the factory, but if the turbos don't actually work exactly the same way at the same time as previously mentioned, it would be worth making sure the actuators are actuating together properly
    • I went down this rabbit hole before, ended up sourcing a motor from the UK (I'm in Japan) which also didn't function correctly. With the original motor, I disassembled it and reassembled it and it works somewhat, sometimes. What I could deduce from all my screwing around is that there is calibration of the gears on the inside of the motor and two ramps on the main gear which activate switches that operate the motor and move the sunroof either to retract into the roof or tilt. Where I got stuck was that, it seemed in my case that one or both of the switches that are activated by the ramp on the gear did not always activate and thus the motor did not move, causing it to sometimes not retract or tilt (apologies, I've forgotten which way it didn't work.).  Of course this part is discontinued at Nissan now, it's the same part in the S15 but no other models. I also contacted the manufacturer of the component for schematics - forgot the name, they're based in Gifu - but they declined to share the information due to being bound by an NDA, sadly. Looking through my pictures now, it seems I last had a crack at this in 2022. See, I so kindly wrote "open" and "close" next to the switches. If you figure it out, please do tell me. Those little switches, with the red buttons may need to be replaced.
    • It says 300ZX, does that make it an Aus delivered car? Funny how back in the day I just couldn't care less about Z32's and these days I am just in love with them. Back when Nissan was into pushing the envelope. 🤣
