Shit is really off the chain.. I've got 1 semester left, time to make the most of it

There's a mint bitch in the full time class, damnnnnnnnn

No. There are no girls in engineering. It's like the internet.

Well cam gears will go in at the same time of the service (decided to sell my HKS cam gears to go tomei which was strongly recommended by Trent as well due to having 5 bolts rather then 3, dont want that shit coming lose ever), but will aid in the future when I get turbos / afms / injectors etc done.

Fuel filter wasn't included with the kit I got, so just added that on top (was through Kudos - Andrew is great to deal with as well) and couldn't be bothered shopping around for other air filter options Kudos only had HKS filter so just got that will be better then the current dirty as aids one in there.

So obviously I'll just be doing coilpacks, filters myself but timing belt is a bit advanced so going to a shop for that, any recommendations?

Cool!

I am sure Trent can do a timing belt for you...

No shit rashed.

Z

it's better this way.

after she knocks you back you won't have to feel akward having her in your class

Are Apexi pod filters any good? I acquired one for free :) Might put it in coz I've got some shitty "Monza" one in my car and its clogged up with all kinds of shit.

One of the best!

And you get the 'Dose'

those monza ones are horrible

i tried one when i first got my car

and it dampened the throttle response

no idea how, but it was ordinary with the monza one

the apexi one is probably like the K&N ones

both would be good

interview done

went pretty well

will hopefully hear from them next week

usually, after a knock back they want to leave.....

you know why?

Yeah will ask him about it, although I think he might send some of his customers off to GT hyper (for engine work)

Ah yeah I have been down to GT Hyper, I know a guy on AE86DC who works there.

K&N is oiled...not good for the AFM

That is the big misconception.

K&N filters are dry.

As the instructions in the K&N Cleaner Kit will tell you to apply the oil and only a thin layer... But you don't have to.

You can keep your air filter dry.

    • When you pulled it off, there is no signs of blown head gasket? Is it possible you have some other issues going on? Possible cracked blocked? Or do you think it's straight up lifting the head? Did you check what the head was torqued to before pulling it down (To see if possibly they're stretching, or starting to break threads out etc)?
    • Seems like a decent result for a modded JZX110. They are bulky in comparison to the 100 and 90 models (which I'd prefer myself) but they are getting very few and far between here in JP these days. Thanks for the detailed review and the import process into the UK. I also have a car which I'm hoping to export from Japan at some stage so it's good to know if someone from the UK was interested in it. By the way the corrosion underneath is par for the course for cars which were located in/near the mountains or along the Japan sea coastline. They get huge amounts of snow every winter and the sodium chloride is used on the roads. Many cars have some kind of rubber like treatment underneath but they tend to limit it to the wheel arches underbody and fuel tank. Suspension arms and sub-frames will have similar corrosion to your JZX110 which is a common sight. See it all the time and car dealers here generally don't even mention it unless asked.
    • If the sound goes away when you clutch in, the 1.5/2 way diffs are just shit, and you are a normal person. The diff is likely "fine" but driving at anything under 30kmh is a violent horrible experience. It would be exaggerated with solid diff bushings and subframe bushings if you have those.
