This drill kit is is a must have,,,remember the last time you broke a drill bit and then needed another. Not anymore with this one. Just have to remind my self to buy replacements.

If you are serious about getting the most accurate torque settings consistently, virtually maintenance free.

Deflecting Beam Torque Wrench

323500a.jpg

dual-signal.jpg

Capacity - 20-220 ft.lbs / 30-300Nm

Drive Size - 1/2"

FEATURES:

- Dual signal ( see and hear when the wrench has reached the selected torque.)

- extremely accurate (+-2%)

Or if you want something more 'high tech' this one flashes, beeps & vibrates

If anyone is interested in either of these PM me, I have a pretty good hook up & may start a group buy if there is enough interest.

Or how about these, find that squeak in your suspension or useful for listening for knock whilst tuning

Talking about torque wrenches I had to buy this bad boy for my centre lock wheel nuts. I think it goes to 700nm's.

No....not that kind of tool.....

The "how do I get this old rubber hose off" thread reminded me about this idea.....so here it is, the cool tool thread.

What are the odd/unusual/invaluable tools you use!

Here is the opening item....

What: Hose Pliers

vh479.jpg

For: Saving your knuckles! Gets most hoses off, and after 20 years they can be damn hard to budge! Vacuum hoses, coolant hoses, breather hoses you name it.

From: Got mine from the tool guy that came to the show n shine....probably need to find a specialist tools shop

Cost: About $30

Used a set of these on Tuesday. Absolutely awesome and saved my knuckles.

Thats pretty awesome, haven't seem too many of them around, I bit overkill i would think for a wheel nut?? The wrench below is used on tank tracks & to tighten the bolts on the west gate bridge.

Capacity - 200-1000 ft.lbs / 260-1340Nm

Drive Size - 1"

Length - 140cm

Need a flashlight for working on the car? This is a CREE LED 330 lumen and runs on rechargeable lithium batteries. Thing is absolutely awesome.

Nice, I use a Romisen RC-C6

Mainly because it floods a huge area when you use it, which is good when you want to look over a broad area.

Problem is the battery probably only lasts around 1hour, but the batteries are smaller than a AA so its not exactly hard to carry a couple around :)

Dunc I will be keen for that, one day. Lol street r33 or track car, whichever is working well enough to race with! Im secretly keen on the street car though. God im hoping it delivers the results im expecting! Im gonna blow everyone away! EVERYONE!!!!

Those torque wreches are huge! I believe they use that size to do up truck wheel nuts also!
