Hi Drivers,

A new freeway exit numbering system has been developed to help unfamiliar drivers and tourists navigate Melbourne's extensive freeway network.

VicRoads has posted an instructional video on YouTube, with details on the new numbering system.

Please watch it here: http://www.youtube.com/vicroads#p/u/3/weYFUabIQxU

In the interests of full disclosure, I am getting the word out on behalf of VicRoads.

Thank You.

1. 2 cars with same number plate :P

2. blue commodore fair cuts off that truck doesn't he?! If i indicated like that, for a small fraction of a second, i'd be sure to cop some punishment

3. GTR appears to be fanging it lol

Good. Would have thought a numbering system was a pretty obvious freeway feature........

Annoying in vic on the freeways when the sign says a different road to the cross road, you only realise you missed your exit when you see the little sign on the bridge telling you what cross road it is

wow.. thats just f**king stupid.

what is wrong with what is already there.. the signs which say the name or the exits already.... or i guess that's too straight forward and logical..

vic roads wasting more $$$ - they should fix the f**king roads instead of stupid numbers

It's actually a REALLY good idea. The US have done it like this for a long time and it makes it extremely easy to workout what exit to get of at if you're from out of town or not familiar with the freeways. If you know you have to get of at exit 8 and you're driving past exit 6 you know exactly how many exits you have until you need to be prepared to exit etc.

ROFLOL hahah @ GTR boosting it

but this is actually a very good idea i have been waiting for this.

i use to live in the UK and for the people who know everything there is numbered =/

but i think its great i like it would make things bit easier

More like in the interests of promoting your crappy advertising campain you created for VicRoads

IDC what other countries do - We need road conditions improved.

son of rajab knows the pricks rake in enough money with speed camera's to be able to afford it.

And now everyone has to go buy new melways or GPS's (if they are not updatable)

Another waste of taxpayers money.

Exactly right. Works really well in the UK and certainly made life in the French speaking part of Canada a lot easier knowing our exit was in 94 exit's time when you don't have the Canada maps in the loan GPS, cough cough....

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
