Any L4 nissan motor with a OS TC-16 head.

Lz20b turbo, as seen in group 5 dr30, s12 and 910 bluebird.

FJ20. abit heavy though.

Ford pinto with a connaught 'warrior' head as seen below.

270hp with 50mm webers

Sweet engines - but rare as rocking horse poo.

I had no idea the FJ engine was much heavier than an 4 cyl L series - Interesting to know

Of course if it's sound we're talking about, then this

1.5L V16 supercharged

Yes, I've posted it before. No other engine sound can make the hairs on my neck stand up like that. The ferraris cruising around Runaway bay baseball fields today while the kids games were on (mmmm - scary :D ) did sound pretty good tho, but I digress.

I woulda posted the BRM but its 1.5L not 2L

It sounded nice yes...but always broke...infact I think BRM only finished 2 or 3 races in the 2 years that they used that motor

basically sums up what the brm was doing 99% of the time

breaking.

it's the godfather of all 4cyl engines.

it's like the common ancestor of all jap and brit 4 bangers.

it survived 3 wars, 2 invasions, 16 military coups, 3 recessions, 1 depression, 1 dot-com bubble and is probably still cooler than you ever will be.

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
