fixed exhaust leak and (Scotty! :domokun: ) welded up a front pipe which included my flex join and cat.

Picked up my freshly rebuilt exedy 5puck clutch today

and got to have a geez under a 35gtr that was up on a hoist in the shop

wat a gorgeous piece of Japanese engineering!

Eww, my car went in today to have the puck clutch removed. It's a PITA to drive around in traffic with - I've got no idea what Adelaide traffic is like, but here in Sydney you can find yourself doing 15-20km/h, stop-start, on the FREEWAY at times.

Spigot bearing is making a hell of a noise when cold anyway, so I'm killing (at least) two birds with one stone!

Really nick? Is it heavy or just super bitey?

And is your clutch master vacuum assisted?

I've got a s14 master and pedal installed already so it's not vacuum

These have actually been on the car for a couple of weeks now, but I haven't had time to take any photo's, and it's been raining most days for the last couple weeks here.

Needs to be about an inch lower all round I think, and spaced out a little at the front. I also need to get a set of centre caps for the rims.

Tried replying to this last night, but the forums were down...

It's actually bitey AND heavy. I can deal with the heaviness (even though I'm a skinny mofo), but like I said, with Sydney traffic the bite is a PITA. It's either in or out, and sometimes the car shakes REALLY badly as you try and release the clutch to move along slowly.

Nope, it's not assisted.

Our new organic clutch makes the car a much more pleasant drive in traffic.

I'm soooo looking forward to having my car back so I can experience that for myself! Hopefully tomorrow, Andrew. The clutch is in, it was on the dyno this arvo when I called the workshop.

Just won a RHS Silver mirror for my S2 on Import Monster.

My RHS mirror got badly scratched on the garage wall at home, far too scratched to buff it out with cutting compound. Hopefully the air freight will get it here before the 21st of this month.

Yeah Mike, just needs a little bit more work and I'll be happy with it. Although I probably won't be able to go as low as I would like, due to the car being a daily - and I wouldn't be able to get it out of my driveway :laugh:

its used but for $100 you can't go wrong

will get a new turbo-manifold gasket and turbo outlet gasket and some new tie rod ends and an alignment also

nearing the end of the cheap and easy mods now tho :D

found a brake fluid leak in the Wilwood line setup, fixed. finally. 324mm wilwood superlite goodness.

doing a service on her at the moment, awaiting 4x 15mm thick bolt-on wheel spacers (needs 10mm to comfortably clear the calipers due to bracket setup

Loving my single plate organic from extreme. The stag is the first manual car (converted on the weekend) and Ive been driving in city traffic and finding it fine.

I personally kept away from Extreme clutches when I did my conversion. Ended up with a Nismo kit inc lightened Nismo flywheel which I sent all the kit to ACS for machining. Strong pedal feel, but very forgiving 1200kg kit. Not 'off or on' like most. I've had Extreme clutches in past cars and I haven't been impressed.

    • My guesstimate, with no real numbers to back it up, is it won't effect it greatly at all.its not a huge change in position, and I can't see the air flow changing from in turbulence that much based on distance, and what's in front of it. Johnny and Brad may have some more numbers to share from experience though.
    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers    
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
