So everyone wondering why Webber maybe lost a bit of pace towards the end of the season when before had the measure of Vettel.

Buried deep in his book Up Front, which was launched last Wednesday comes the revelation ... One can only assume Webber hasnt wanted to highlight the fact he drove in the last four races of the year with a fractured right shoulder because he didnt want to be seen to be making excuses for the way the world drivers championship slipped from his grasp in the fi nal race in Abu Dhabi.

In the book he reveals that, again, bike riding was the catalyst for the latest injury. Mountain biking with a mate while back in Australia between the Singapore and Japanese GPs, the friend crashed and Webber had nowhere to go but over the top of him, or straight between the ears of the horse as he likes to say.

Poor bugger is just bursting with cycling luck!

Bloody good excuse to stay on the couch, train by playing F1 2010 on PS3.

I can happily say that I'm ready to step in, given I've been training hard whilst all this rain is around.

Interesting...stuff paying these drivers in F1 big bucks to take part in *supposedly* one of the worlds most deadliest sports - just give them all mountain bikes ;)

Not that at all. He just couldn't bear another round of mereciless shellacking from Roy and HG after the sh!t they gave him last time.

I'll be surprised if RBR let him anywhere near a tricycle in the near future let alone a big boys mountain bike..... poor webs. I'd be a bit off it too with a fractured shoulder.

pfft. he had trouble keeping up because he is a hack, and firm #2 driver in that team.

I won't beleive the broken shoulder thing until I see an xray :P excuses from his PR company

you're a hard man duncan! it wouldn't surprise me if it were true. he's driven a whole race before having spewed in his helmet on teh wamrup lap (seemed to improve his driving too as he was 2nd when rear ended under safety car), he has driven the car whilst the bottom of the seat was scalding his arse so bad he ended up with severe burns and a few weeks lying on his chest. he's certainly driven before with a broken bone or two. webber is a pretty tough little coconut. and not really one to whinge too much.

and yet- the last death in F1 was '94

so much for all the "speed kills" propaganda we hear ad nauseum

Except Joe Commodore isnt sitting in a carbon fibre tub, with a harness/HANS, Fire proof suit etc.

Anyone have any links to the new 4 cylinder turbo rules...bring back the 1400hp 1.5L honda motors or the Ferrari V6 turbo etc, would be cool to see again.

Its also a bit of a hark back to the old days, F1 was 1500cc for a long time.

    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
