A crash involving a Toro Rosso truck will not affect the teams performance this weekend. The truck was carrying a fleet on minibuses that would have been used to transport the team to & from the circuit and hotel. The incident happened when another truck crashed into the rear end of the Toro Rosso vehicle. The damage is estimated at £104,000. The team will find an alternative fleet of vehicles to transport their personnel.

Wonder if Vettel was driving behind the truck...

senna only has two races to prove him self (Belgian and Italian Grands Prix)

Team principal Eric Boullier feels Senna has the right qualities to drive for Renault.

"We are happy to provide Bruno with the chance to begin racing with Lotus Renault GP, starting at Spa-Francorchamps this weekend," the Frenchman said. "He has proved himself to be an attentive member of the team since he joined almost seven months ago, and we are confident that he will demonstrate his ability alongside Vitaly (Petrov)."

Renault said on their team website that their "present intention is to give Bruno the opportunity to race for the rest of the season. However, some legal issues have not been fully resolved as yet and, as a result, the team will make another announcement on this matter in due course."

in other news still talk about mark and his contract, he said

"I know some of you are waiting for news on my future," he wrote in his column for BBC Sport.

"I stopped off in Salzburg for a meeting with Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz on my way to the Hungarian Grand Prix last month and, as planned, the August break gave me a good opportunity to have a chat with team principal Christian Horner about me continuing in 2012."

q&a with senna for those that are interested

bruno (you can't call him 'senna' ffs) will have his work cut out. petrov is pretty decent and I can't say I ever remember bruno doing anything that great. if he can get on top of petrov in these 2 races then he's in with a chance at a drive. but I doubt it.

Portugese naming customs are odd, to say the least.

Bruno Senna is actualy Bruno Senna Lalli. His mothers maiden name is Senna & his fathers name is Lalli - hence Senna Lalli.

In the same way Ayrton was actually Ayrton Senna Da Silva. He just used the Senna bit becuase it sounded better to the English.

This is typical not some confected hyphonated nonsense like the poms use to sound more impressive.

For that matter Ayrton is not actually pronounced airtun.

But anyway. Here is hoping Bruno goes ok. Bit hard to light the world up in a HRT as Ricciardo (pronounced Rickardo FFS) is finding.

why not ?

Yeh, will be watching with interest how your Bruno goes. I have never thought much of his ability even though he has had good results in lower categories. I think he is there because of his name, nothing else...so happy to be proven wrong. He will be doing well to get withing 0.8sec of Petrov in quali and withing 1 minute of Petrov in the races (IMO)

Its painful to have been at this track only 10 days ago and now having to watch this race on tv :(

Why don't you just find and internet peepshow and get the girl/s to say saucy things to you like "oooh oooh eau rouge" or "spank me on my Blanchimot" or "you can park your bike in my Bust-top"

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
