Yaay Nice work but why is Artz takin so long to get his car together?

put your money where your mouth is and beat him to it!

I dont imagine you to have any real friends, all I see you do is hang around like an opportunistic vulture and wait for somebody to fall in your honour

when I first started blabbering about this 20g stuff, do you know what the first thing I did was? I bought a 20g. You can ask ARTZ, we bit the bullet about the same time and had plenty of colourful convo's about it. Jez now has my 20g, another member has my 33 and another has my 1JZ.

I wish I could be your scape goat on this one, but not everything pans out as you expect. How about you put a 20g on a 1JZ for me? I would love to know how it turns out. Thanks.

All good things come in time any reason u all seem to be running tial 44 gates I have to buy a gate for my setup shortly but my manifold is 4 bolt

cut it off and get someone to weld the Vband flange to it..

Bahahaha...yeah you can ask me...Scot pretty much dared me to get one and said if I did he would too..true to his word he did..then wished he hadnt...lol

Also little did he know my car was wrecked at the time..I think if you actually saw how much work I have done in the last 6-7 months, including fixing the wreck, rebushing my front end and installing the new turbo and ancillaries. All under a tarp in my backyard on sunny and occasionally even rainy days with nothing much more than a bag of tools, a 20$ jack from autobahn** and a skeleton budget. Inbetween working 50+ hr weeks and entertaining one kid whilst making another one..

you would of thought twice about asking such a ignorant question..

I think I've done alright all things considered...anyways peace.. :D

** I bought a new jack the other day, not only can I jack the car up in one go now, but this one doesn't slowly fall back down on me after 2 minutes....

LOL circumstances change, i still wish i could have finished that car but it wasnt meant to be..

After all those convos about how to fix your rubbish turbo problem, I had no choice but to boycott you in! you know I even bought that while I was in indonesia? just to make sure I knew you got it too HAHA!! otherwise I would have hit the buy it now when i got back to my own country LOL

Ok so I'm using the same turbo I did on my 20 td06h-20g 8cm it's now going onto a sr so very little difference only diff being I'll be using a 3 bolt flange for the rear housing to see how well it flows changes spool time ect. I'm considering buying a blue lable td05-18g 8cm so that would bolt straight onto the mani I'm making for the sr. This way I can test the differences between the turbos I'm sure jez won't mind haha or boydy. Now I just need to get the BMW going haha

Scott. Hope you are not talkin crap about me, you seemed ok till now. All this stuff about vultures and scapegoats and what not..totally irrelevant to what I asked. Basically did you get an anal assault or what?? From the unexpected sudden change of tune. Many times I wish this forum had less kids n fkwits like Labomba and now seemingly yourself and more grown ups to avoid low-level talk n occassional people bashing.

I stick to my statement. Your always hanging around waiting and encouraging somebody else to try before YOU buy, I straight out don't appreciate that. There's a difference in attitude between quietly keeping an eye on someones build and purposefully encouraging them to hurry so you can see how it turns out for you own benefit. You have some audacity to talk about other members of this forum.

You can call me childish or whatever else you want, fact is I am an asshole and always tell it how it is. I'm not afraid to hear one more goof call me an asshole or a child or whatever else you would like to say, go nuts.

Fact is you and I watch the same threads, Ive probably inadvertently read 90% of your total posts, and I can safely say you have a crappy attitude towards this forum and the help you get from its members. End of story.

    • Driveline vibration is resolved. I ended up loosening all my engine mount and trans mount bolts, giving it a good shake then retightening everything and it's gone... Let's just say I was surprised that fixed it.  I've been happily driving it around again but unfortunately put zero time into my direct port/constant pressure WMI setup. I'm on vacation next week, so I'll try and finalize it then.  On a different note, I spent all week fuel/ignition mapping 2x 216L V16 engines. Turbo's were burning glycol and we swapped them out for larger units. We also had planned emissions testing on site, so I figured I'd be there the same week to use their instrumentation and massage any emissions issues out if needed. This was a first for me. Fuel management is similar in certain ways to automotive (i.e air density as load variable) but very different in others. It's all PLC based and AFR's are controlled by air and not fuel. They use a control valve between the turbo and air manifold to control pressure which in turn controls AFR's. Due to this, target AFR tables supplied by the OEM are in pressures and not mass which really through me off. They use air pressure vs fuel pressure tables. I also relied on an O2 concentration sensor the emissions team had in the exhaust. Ignition timing was also all over the place and we were losing a fair bit of power. They're now happily sitting at 16-40BTDC depending on load. We were making about 1600kw at 900rpm at 90% load. Engines were running a lot smoother as well.
    • heh, aint no R32 ever meeting modern targa cage rules unless the driver is veeeery short OP, good luck with the sale, since its already in the land of freedom I'm sure you will find a good buyer.
    • meh, it was a good video, clear about the issue and how he dealt with it. A bit heavy on the RTV and very brave to put an RB in anything without rebuilding it first, but otherwise I thought it was good Dose, I'm not sure that having the pickup forward is a big issue; yes of course the oil could shift under brakes but the sump should never be empty enough for that to be a problem (unless you also have a higher volume oil pump, and that oil can't return from the head to the sump quickly enough)
