111c wow thats not good at all :S hope you didn't cook anything mate

Drives fine still, averaged 10.8l/1000 from the first tank which included going through some twisty hills

The yellow colour I bought was absynth yellow, not a prefect match but better then what it was (use white primer underneath too, yellow doesn't cover other colours well)

We'll see how it goes today, is gonna be a heap colter today, and less hills now too

she is a lucky girl! 50cm back and she might not have walked away

dibs on the wreck :P

yeh no shit.

if you want the wreck still. let me know.

If its declare written off which it should, I'll find out how much and let you know..

looks good!

Now go get a trans oil cooler to shove somewhere in there!

awww fk...I knew I forgot something...putting that bar on was a bitch and now I gotta do it again!!! GARRR

Booked in to get my EMU installed/tuned in early march...I take it I need a trans cooler before then?

Re rims...LOL i've ordered like 3 sets of rims from JP totalling 4k...1 x R34 GTR rims, 1 x XT7 (18 x 9.5 +30), 1 x LE37 (18 x 9.5 +12), and I'm eyeing some Advan TC2's...

*sigh* maybe I should just buy your ARX rims and spend the rest of the $$$ on more power mods

copycat :P

LOL, yeah, well it only made sense since the car had the skirts and rear bar already...

Was tempted to put Kyle's Gialla bar on (think 360 modena!!!) but it looked a little too much...and I was sure I would scratch that bar to buggery in a week!

Would end up looking like the blue car :O:

I was going for the AVS7 look below...but somehow got sidetracked :P

Actually, is the red one below - is that Kenstyle or Impul? I like it...

Is Cihan doing it??

lol i think you'll need alot more before then. I'm sprised you havnt already noticed the need for a trans cooler.

Why have you ordered so many rims ? lol

whats your power goal??

Hi Tom. I saw you on the highway on Sunday, just north of Ballina. That yellow really stands out on the road. I wasn't in the Stagea so you wouldn't have seen me. have a safe trip.

Yep he kinda talked me into it LOL. Nah I told him I'm happy for whatever the stock turbo can max out at 14 psi and my existing mods. Aiming for the 200 mark for now. When the turbo dies then we'll look at a higher number

Cihan says:

I would say installing the EMU is going to make a big difference in torque and power output regardless of the turbocharger installed, you may be able to enjoy the engine as it is for a long time before you have any need to upgrade the turbo. In my opinion the EMU is a great investment at any stage in the tuning process, so i wouldn't hold back if that's what you want.

So I said aaaah why not...no point waiting and waiting...that EMU has been sitting in the car for a couple of months now!

Oh and the rims...figure I'd try em and see which one I like best/fits best. For the price I got em for I'd be suprised if I don't make a profit selling the unwanted sets.

lol at Cihan. he does good work. hopefully mine will be complete* before the end of this month!

i might want the GTR rims. lol pm me.

*f**k it im still gonna buy things for my stag

thanks mate, its easy to spot

I spotted a bayside blue stag in tamworth as we were driving in.

We've just left dubbo, 400 kms to wagga wagga :-), car is running well too

I doubt you will see 200 without bumping the boost up which will blow the turbo, and you will be limited to 200 anyway by the intake. Still it feels good at that level.

Are you getting injectors?

You will need a valve body upgrade for the auto before the tune.

    • For once a good news  It needed to be adjusted by that one nut and it is ok  At least something was easy But thank you very much for help. But a small issue is now(gearbox) that when the car is stationary you can hear "clinking" from gearbox so some of the bearing is 100% not that happy... It goes away once you push clutch so it is 100% gearbox. Just if you know...what that bearing could be? It sounding like "spun bearing" but it is louder.
    • Yeah, that's fine**. But the numbers you came up with are just wrong. Try it for yourself. Put in any voltage from the possible range and see what result you get. You get nonsense. ** When I say "fine", I mean, it's still shit. The very simple linear formula (slope & intercept) is shit for a sensor with a non-linear response. This is the curve, from your data above. Look at the CURVE! It's only really linear between about 30 and 90 °C. And if you used only that range to define a curve, it would be great. But you would go more and more wrong as you went to higher temps. And that is why the slope & intercept found when you use 50 and 150 as the end points is so bad halfway between those points. The real curve is a long way below the linear curve which just zips straight between the end points, like this one. You could probably use the same slope and a lower intercept, to move that straight line down, and spread the error out. But you would 5-10°C off in a lot of places. You'd need to say what temperature range you really wanted to be most right - say, 100 to 130, and plop the line closest to teh real curve in that region, which would make it quite wrong down at the lower temperatures. Let me just say that HPTuners are not being realistic in only allowing for a simple linear curve.
    • I feel I should re-iterate. The above picture is the only option available in the software and the blurb from HP Tuners I quoted earlier is the only way to add data to it and that's the description they offer as to how to figure it out. The only fields available is the blank box after (Input/ ) and the box right before = Output. Those are the only numbers that can be entered.
    • No, your formula is arse backwards. Mine is totally different to yours, and is the one I said was bang on at 50 and 150. I'll put your data into Excel (actually it already is, chart it and fit a linear fit to it, aiming to make it evenly wrong across the whole span. But not now. Other things to do first.
    • God damnit. The only option I actually have in the software is the one that is screenshotted. I am glad that I at least got it right... for those two points. Would it actually change anything if I chose/used 80C and 120C as the two points instead? My brain wants to imagine the formula put into HPtuners would be the same equation, otherwise none of this makes sense to me, unless: 1) The formula you put into VCM Scanner/HPTuners is always linear 2) The two points/input pairs are only arbitrary to choose (as the documentation implies) IF the actual scaling of the sensor is linear. then 3) If the scaling is not linear, the two points you choose matter a great deal, because the formula will draw a line between those two points only.
