That wing mount is totally mint!

The rear-most currently unused mounting holes, are they for additional support if required, or for mounting a low type drag racing spoiler?! (half kidding :P)

its for an adjustable 2nd wing. will hae pics of this soon.

Sure is great having an engineering firm involved heavily in the build when it comes to pieces like the wing mount. Danny from A.D.E has done a great job designing and getting the mount made is such a limited time frame. The upper element is supported via turnbuckles in the center to eliminate the wing flexing down in the middle. Truely is a work of art. The whole car is really.

Edit, added pic.

Sure is. Should be arriving in Sydney today. Didn't end up with sign writing and it's not been tested so will see how it's first shakedown run is on Thursday at the track.

Good luck to all involved.

Cheers

Thanks Richard. I'll let the boys know. Mind you it looks very menacing with widebody carbon only..........

Here's hoping with over 600kw (800hp) at the wheels the carbon doesn't start flying off it down the straight. It has plenty of power down low (2200rpm) and even more through the top end. Just have to see how much speed the aero takes away.

We know there is no chance of winning the event until it has some more development but it will be good to see what it's like against the Mercury car.

Cheers

2 workshops within 100m of each other, build two of the best R35 GTRs in the country, then travel over 1000km's to thrash them for 3 days non-stop, against each other and the best time attack cars in the world. LOVING LIFE!!! :D

Life is funny isn't it - Good luck on your end too. Your statement should read as modified above though.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
