I have no idea about it. I have a meth kit, as it came as part of a tuning kit for my car. The ECU in my car does have a 'meth' map.

I might have the same kit or similar. But mine says something about mixing water and meth in the window washer bottle.

Too much confusion.

Anyone actually installed one or know of someone who has?

Also, where to get the right meth from?

Cheers.

hmm sounds a bit risky to play with it when you dont know the history of it. The idea is to blend 50:50 water and methanol and add to the container which the system is connected to. Normal setups come with a dedicated tank and do not use the window washer bottle. Depends if the previous owner did a dodgy or removed the system?

You will need to find a supplier of methanol (methylated spirits is ethanol with a bit of methanol put in to stop people drinking it, so that wont work)

Most race fuel suppliers can supply methanol in 20Ltr or drums etc

Methonal is very dangerous and you dont want to smell/touch it etc. An option is to run just 100% water instead. That will reduce the air temperature but will not give more octane (methanol is like 120ron). A blend gets the best of water and methanol but having 100% water is easier to manage.

Apparently neither does the meth...guy at work reckons that when he had his own detailing business, one of his employees used to toss back a bottle of methylated spirits at lunch time...you know you have a problem when your alcohol doesn't even come from the liquor store.

oh man thats so bad haha

Nitro-meth is another level. Instead of using water-meth blend, you do a water-nitrometh blend. Moar powar

I refuse to jack off with anything but glitter lotion

Tuesday morning lulz

What did everyone do this long weekend?

I went on a 3 day bender.....

I think my heart stopped beating a couple times..

Helped a mate buy a s13 shell. Went to parents holiday house and fishing.... I've never really liked fishing, this time was different, it was good to just stand there pondering things. Fishing is kinda like extended shower time, Just stand there thinking about things.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
