whatever you do pick a workshop that provides an agreed warranty for the engine build

outlines the cost of the job and doesnt give you a surprise 2k extra bill at the end

and an agreed end date instead of "yeah soon" each month

Hmm

Who is it? Want someone who won't blow the engine up lol

Pm me brahhh... Might need to do 200kkm service soon

PM's sent

It's a specialised engine building workshop that does everything from street cars to full blown drag cars.

youre all wrong.

ric is half lebo, half black, half antarctican.

Nah, he is full HEKT1K.

Okay.

In regards of finding someone to put the motor together and tune it.

My mate thinks I should go to a place that does everything in house, as I'm getting Sposaro to build up the engine and he's outsourcing the tuning to Creatd.

Mate recommends JPC.

They built his drag VL, and his 400kw Xr6.....

So cownfushun

Don't your cousins own Rajab..?

LOL!

or at least if you cant find a workshop that covers warranty

at least you will know up front that its not covered

so if and when something goes bang you are aware of where you stand etc

ntohing worse than a nice build failing at start up, first run in or early KM stages

only for the owner to be told sorry not covered its your oil contimination or something etc etc

get as much info on what is covered and what isnt

ill be supplying the rods and pistons etc though.

if they can just cover their workmanship id be happy.

might just get creatd to do it.

trying to understand cams, springs etc.

f**k its confusing shit.

The line between workmanship and parts is incredibly blurred at the best of times.

Better yet Moh, buy a workshop manual and build the engine yourself. One of the most rewarding things I've ever done was build an engine! It's not that difficult, if you follow instructions carefully. Just like lego but with torque wrenches and tolerances lol.

what happened matt?

lol took a customer into the storage warehouse to look at some sinks, he says oh both your cars are in here, what do you drive daily?

me: the triton ute

customer: f**k bitches load fridges!

what happened matt?

Tried to do me for things that werent RWC items like a "soft" upper radiator hose. Rear pads were 2mm and legal limit is 1.5mm and I called him out on that and he got all defensive that oh well if you want to save $350 then we dont have to do it, then turned around and told me I should anyway. The owner of the company also told me to do some research to find out whats minimum spec for the rotors and get back to him.. like thats my job as a customer and all. Front tyres are Retreads (dont laugh, they came with the car) and the mechanic thought that meant they were damaged on the sidewalls, even though its just the cap glued on. Also tried to find the slightest imperfection in every bush so is trying to sting me for most of them in the rear and a couple in the front. All up about $1000 if I don't do the brakes.

(This is on a VLT also, none of this would happen on a skyline :P)

    • Hi. Sry iam not a mechanic and iam not at the car atm so i dont know 100% but they told they measure those and even try to change those. AFM they have two. Coils are new a they have my old one too. Plugs too. ECU...we have 25 NEO stock and Nistune 25 NEO.   But i dont know if any one those could be the problem and why/if/what can cause this, Only thing they did not check is fuel...but that walbro 255 is new(like 1,5 years)... That fuel pressure gauge idk...but i let them know Any suggestions?   EDIT: how can they know if it is like you say he ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high? Tha car has boost controler
    • Can you clarify what you mean by boost cut, do you mean it misfires both when under load (driving) and when stationary and out of gear? Or does the ECU pull power when it reaches a specific boost level that is too high (boost control issue)? Does it occur at idle with no throttle? When you say "the ECU is OK", what ECU is it and why do you think it is OK? Have you used the NEO ECU, and if so do you have a MAP sensor attached? Same for the AFM, why do you think it is OK? Do you have any way to put a fuel pressure gauge on it (even just a mechanical one between the fuel filter and fuel rail)?
    • Hi.. Just another problem. So maybe you can help. I(my mechanic) done swap from my RB20DE NEO to RB25DET NEO. Everything is OK but we have a boost cut. Coils/Plugs are ok...AFM is ok. ECU is ok. I have Walbro 255 but it "changed" sound few months ago(you can hear it ouside) you did not hear that when it was new(maybe faulty?) Sooo...what now? What can cause this boost cut? It is even when you standing still...
