lol i work a cash job though. =x

dodgy student style

Dodgey kent, no entitlements for you then

Construction industry shuts down for Christmas and Easter so that's forced annual leave... 8 days left over after 3 weeks off at Christmas and 10 days at Easter..

Salary sacrifice gets me an additional 2 weeks leave though

Please aware me how salary sacrifice entitles to an extra 2 weeks annual leave?

Rate I'm going I'll send em broke

Ey tony u might know, do they have to pay annual leave at my retainer rate or my average earnings? Cos there is a considerable difference

It would be at your standard hourly rate, so at your retainer rate

Please aware me how salary sacrifice entitles to an extra 2 weeks annual leave

1.x hours is deducted from your pay each week which over a year adds up to 2 weeks annual leave. It's separate from regular leave.

After a year you can sacrifice more and get 4 weeks

Lol your Boss is really unaware

He should be awared.

I prefer to break up my annual leave into a bunch of fridays taken off at random during the year. 3 day weekends throughout ftw. Don't need extended holidays for Christmas.

Ah fair enough.

Normally when I deal with salary sacrifice its employees putting additional super or laptops or cars etc....Haven't had a client salary sacrifice to get additional leave yet lol

Edit:

Thinking about it's essentially the same as unpaid leave I.e. You deduct a days pay so I can take a holiday tomorrow with pay or You pay me today and I take an unpaid annual leave day tomorrow

Boo! I rkn it should be the average weekly amount retainer is Fkn bs chicken feed... Fkn kunce. No wonder ppl don't bother with holidays only earn a quarter of normal pay

Negotitate to go on a higher salary and less bonuses before you leave.

Just saved you $20,000 plus

You owe me a GTR

Yeah pretty much just paying for extra time off... They only recently started offering it, so I did it.. My gf couldn't get time off over Christmas which is when we're on a forced 3 week break, which only leaves us with the 8 days leave after christmas/easter industry shut downs.. So the idea was to have that extra leave so I could take time off when she can get it so we can actually go somewhere.

But now it's looking like her boss will give her time off in Jan, so it should work out sweet now...Hopefully take a trip to Thailand...

Once I go second year I might stop doing the salary sacrifice...It gets paid at the rate you earned it at, so if I was to take salary sacrifice annual leave after November when I'm a second year, I'd still get paid at the first year rate...

So my plan is to do what Birds mentioned, take some Fridays and Mondays off to use the salary sacrifice leave...get some 3/4/5 day weekends happening

You'll love it Dezzeye, all jobs should be 4 days a week. Not just a longer weekend but a shorter working week, makes a huge difference to your life and getting shit done.

Yeh and ur income..

It's less pay, but depending what you earn and what you own, you could live comfortably on 4 days a week. Tough to put a price on life and days in your youth that you'll never get back!

    • So I'll put filler past the repair area a bit to make sure I don't miss anything. Then I'll block it until it's almost level, put the guidecoat, then keep blocking until it's gone. Then it's still wavy.  In regards to hitting the panel, I saw this video might give more context - Skip to 0:47 he knocks it down. But yeah I'm sanding until the guidecoat is gone then checking because otherwise my filler is still well above the bodyline. Unless what you're saying is I should put guidecoat around it early, surrounding the filler then stip once it's gone?
    • I refreshed the OEM injectors with the kit and connected it up. It now ideals okay even with the IACV removed. Driving still has the same cutoff issue like the 550cc injectors so the issue is somewhere else. I bought FPG's Fuel Pump Hanger. I will be installing it next, but it is not as straightforward as I thought it was with my limited wiring knowledge and no instruction on the specific model I purchased (FPG-089). I also got the incorrect billet clamp as I could not find info on the OEM sizing.

    • No. Turbo shuffle and surge/flutter are not the same thing. Specifically, on a GTR, turbo shuffle has a definite meaning. On a GTR, the twin turbos are assumed to be the same thing and to operate the same way, exactly. In reality, they do not. Their exhaust sides are fed and exhaust a little differently, to each other. Their inlet sides are fed and exhausted a little differently, to each other. Consequently, when they are "working" they are often at slightly different points on the compressor map compared to each other. What this means, particularly when coming on boost, is that one of them will spool up and start producing extra flow compared to the other, which will put back pressure on that other compressor, which will push the operating point on that other compressor up (vertically). This will generally result in it bumping up against the surge line on the map, but even if it doesn't, it upsets the compressor and you get this surging shuffle back and forth between them That is "turbo shuffle" on a GTR. It is related to other flutter effects heard on other turbo systems, but it is a particular feature of the somewhat crappy outlet piping arrangement on RB26s. There are plenty of mods that have been attempted with varying levels of success. People have ground out and/or welded more material into the twin turbo pipe to try to prevent it. Extending the divider inside it works, removing material doesn't. There are aftermarket replacement twin turbo pipes available, and these exist pretty mush purely because of this shuffle problem.
    • You can temporarily* use lock collars to keep it in place until you can do the bushes, back the nuts off, slide them in, snug back up. *temporarily is often for ever
