this... hence going an Evo... 230rwkw in evo form will be the minimum power i think i'd be able to handle

I love the idea of the BRZ but i just cant deal with having a 6.3 kw car, and i'm not modding a new car

No golf?

Sounds like you're using E-go Jono...

taking all the fairings off to get em re painted. thinking just black for everything

will i need to notify vicroads for changing colours?

Yes, a simple phone call though.

Haha used to use that courier all the time cause they are without doubt the cheapest pricks around. I used to be able to send a gearbox on a friggen skid to South Australia for $20.

They save you money when you choose to drop off/pickup from a depot too...doubt your sender passedthe discount onto you though. It will be there tomorrow I'm guessing.

Technically I got free postage. Asked what the cheapest he could do pick up. Said x, then i was like, cheapest posted to melburn. x. win win.

Plus, i'm never home when they deliver the stuff. So its better when I can pick it up from the depot.

yeh... while it's definately the better family car i have read enough reviews and spoken to enough owners now to know it's not enough for me to have fun in.

the esp/tc is hardwired and can NOT be turned off. so even when you are on a racetrack with tc/esp turned off and the car detects an "emergency procedure" (hard entry to corner / slide / hard braking) the computer takes over and cuts all power.

gayer than a handbag full of rainbows

evo 8 MR will be next

just wanted to say thanks to all the people who gave me some advice and said it was worth sending a letter to try get out of the speeding ticket i got a few months ago

i recieved a letter back today with the infringment being removed and just an offical warning!

so when i get around to attending garage cafe soon i owe a few of you a drink or two for saving me a bit of cash :D thanks!

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
