Is the Time %age gap between you and richo a lot lower on tighter tracks? and higher speed tracks he just blows you away?

Like... Haunted Hills vs PI, lol

I wouldnt call Haunted hills really a track

But a small track like Winton, gap is still there

Richo does 1:36? at Winton. Im assuming Martin does about a 1:40

Vs Sandown

Richo does 1:22? Martin I'll guess at 1:27?

yeah HH it's usually close, but i've come out ahead more than behind.

my Winton times crappy so around 1:42 just never linked a good lap.

my race chrono when set to "theoretical best lap" has me in 38-39, so it's me slow not the car.

give me a working diff and i'll be more consistent

if I keep the 7 turbo and do the LICP, x3e exhaust, 8MR bov, 3port and tune how close will i get to 230?

just trying to ascertain how much i'll gain from the spend on the turbo

also for the lICP is it just the hotside that needs doing or both?

mate has burnzey tuned with 7 turbo to 210awkw

however it's well worth the 8mr turbo imho, you lag 200rpm but gain 20-30kw with it for about $350

Yeah just hotside, it reduces down heaps

P plater in a vl tried to race me last night. Best thing about being on bike

Is gestures/face palms are clearly visible. Kunt didn't have flutterz.

Don't mind bt1's hardly see any these days

/vlaus.com

did you give him teh pinky finger of hoon?

Alvin, you still need old computer stuff? I've got 2 old printers, like some multifunction or something along with a hub and router. If not, do you know any recycle computer places in the west side?

Forgot it was garage cafe tonight... :-/

So what's the verdict, emo or skyline???????

Bloke in a VL turbo tried to race my old man's AMG lol so you're not wrong

was it a calais? pics of VL

my best mates gonna restore his burgandy calais. gonna drop in a turbo motor and a built auto. cant wait haha

early WRX can be bought for that price

Galant VR4

MX-5

E30 BMW

porsche 924/944

mid 80's alfa GTV

(not saying the last 2 cheapest to run and maintain)

hadn't considered the first two. but i did consider a bmw 2002 as a project. driving the family shopping trolley around might be sending me slightly insane

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
