What's the point in the bulge though?

The bulge goes back to the oldschool SS's where the engine didn't actually FIT in the engine bay

Edit: It's either purely for looks (Surely the OEM bonnet wouldn't overheat the engine, so it requires a vent for cooling) , or it is to accomodate a Walkie Top mount supercharger kit or some crap like that...

Edit 2:

WALKINSHAW PERFORMANCE POWER HOOD SCOOP SWB

The Performance "Power Hood" Scoop has been designed in the heritage of the original Walkinshaw Commodore from 1988. The Hood Scoop is the perfect sports accessory for the new VE range.Very aggressive appearance.

Looks like it is mainly visual only...

I don't mind the E2 Intake Scoop though...

My point exactly... They did it for the looks rather then the function.

Like 99% of car modifying these days

I call BS on that... I've got wheels because they're forged and wider, and gtr front bar for better FMIC Air Flow...

Stock exterior on a rocket is the name of the game these days...

Fast and the Furious was back in the era of Rice Rice Baby

So your bonnet is all wank and just for looks I guess.

At least it came factory.

i'm pretty sure the 2 large vents do a fair bit, its the 3rd one that is for looks lol

Hey guys,

What exactly are these little cameras on top of traffic lights etc for?

https://maps.google....,227.86,,0,5.91

Sitting on top of the traffic light closest to Erwin Real Estate... And another one on the other side of the crossing in the middle of the road...

Traffic monitoring cameras.

Traffic monitoring cameras.

Ahhhhh, these ones?

http://www.vicroads....fficCameras.htm

Just seems weird they they're aimed down at the crossing instead of along the road where they can see more of what's going on, or how much it's banked up...

Most probably... Must be monitoring the centre of the intersection...

You'd figure the camera has a wide angle lens...

I thought they more for pedestrian traffic. Like if someone old is still hobbling along the crossing so it doesn't turn green for cars?

I'm not talking just about skylines, but take a drive down chapel, prinny etc the vast majority of cars are modified for visual purposes as opposed to function. Ie all the commos towing invisible caravans?

slammed wrx's, skylines etc

drove home slowly :(

(same as dry days)

.....

lol was at hoa tran in springy, the rain so strong it started flooding into the store under the doors... staff trying to push it back LOL

    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
