So I need a Lower Control Arm and Tie rod end for the drivers side up front... any ideas? Think I might speak to Osaka and Import Monster.

Door doesnt line up perfectly, it's off by a fraction, but the coilover is on a slight angle from what I can see so I'm hoping it's that, won't really know until it all goes back together...

hey alvin... you will love this...

I just worked out how to make chicken-rice at home from scratch in under 30 mins inc all the sauces!

its not hard. really, but yeah, my drizzle sauce is chicken stock, soy sauce, fish sauce, golden syrup and minyak bawang

chilli sauce is ginger, garlic, shallots, chicken stock, sugar and lime juice.

rice mix is garlic ginger shallots lemongrass, salt, chicken powder (sue me) and chicken fat rendered from skin off cuts. i dont even know proportions, LOL.

It's ok, I swapped some other parts off yours while you weren't looking. ;)

SO an oem sensor is $150? Are the aftermarket ones reliable?

Don't know.. Looks like I have some research ahead of me..

oh yeah, i've got stock front shocks off my 34 if you need some to tide you over till you get new coilovers, just remove them from my garage, and kynoch might have LCAs hanging around.

Leigh was training for a bit by himself, but didn't start making serious gains til he joined my gym. Been training with me since November. Back then he had a 70kg bench. If you like I can send you the program we do, it's a two day split with 4 gym visits per week. All you really need to do is lift, eat and sleep...lots of all three.

hmmm... 70kg to 90kg bench in 3months.

Yes please! Send me your secret recipe, so with your secret recipe i should be able to meet the requirements on your job description riggghhhhttttt???

yeah as Birds said, did a about 2 months 'home gym' before I joined a real gym in November last year which is when the gains really started.

I'm pretty dedicated now, after receiving some compliments from the ladies it just boosts motivation even more lets be real. The strength gains are a bonus, no need to trolly stuff around at work anymore!

Assuming you take protein now, did you used to take protein and eat properly while home gyming?

God damn protein is expensive!

OOooohh When are you starting running? I like running but I'm not allowed to run on the treadmill anymore, so now I dont really like it, because road sucks :(

Treadmill is sooo much easier than the roads, could run heaps more on treadmill. It just keeps you rolling with the momentum, the road is where it's at! Running against mother nature.

yeah, it looks like it eh...

i had it a few times in singapore cos y'know... ya have to...and it was quite nice, but i didn't see what all the fuss was about...

then i had it at chin chin eating house and i was literally blown away. it's fkn amazing when done properly.

all this talk of gym is turning my attitude from cbf to slightly more motivated

Aren't no body got time for dat!

Just go to a local playground, kick the kids or the self cutting emo teens off the playground and you have a free gym which our tax money payed for it.

Youtube 'bar workout'

yeh... that's cos urbanspoon is populated by retards that think watching masterchef = knowing a lot about food

hoffbrauhaus is not that great in germany, let alone in aust...

Well, I wouldn't recommend the place for food. Is way overpriced for what the food is!
Missus and I were actually looking forward to the food but left the join with a thumbs down feedback on urbanspoon lol

Atleast the waiters there did dress in those German outfits.

Damn now I want to eat some chicken rice.

Oh also on the topic of restaurants, night be heading to mamacita tomorrow. Anyone rate? :S

    • This looks great! Awesome to have the 5 speed with an LSD in this. The Recaro's look like SR2's or SR3's. It's a shame they've been retrimmed as they would have looked sweet in their original colours. I think I'd want my agent to be a little more up front and informative too. I've never imported but I reckon it would make me a little nervous, so the more info the better.
    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
