Fk this forum sucks balls... I cant even change the theme to see if that helps because the change theme link is just a link to the current page now for some reason

i hit "use full version" on my mobile and now i am automatically using the deluxe theme on desktop. everything works. multiquote, fast reply, change theme menu (haven't tried to change theme yet)

So got the gearbox out, clutch also has 5mm play so the cause is looking like a common dmf failureWas changing clutch anyway so no big deal about knowing it's f**ked though

Yeah ah well you woulda replaced flywheel with clutch anyway...shame bout your box though.

Is it something that you're forced to have with windows?

Did you use the internet as a kid?

Back in the days it was Internet explorer and Netscape Navigator. On a 28k Modem. Or 56K modem if you were a cool kid

It's good you just need to go to a place that makes it well Nothing beat the original though in Vietnam

I don't even think I want to try it again.

Pho is great if made good.

FYI I prefer the Pho over here than compared to Vietnam

kaitoukid just get a bike that looks good to you and feels comfortable. Ninja 300 just means you lose by a little less when you drag me in my car. Nothing LAMS is fast and the step up to unrestricted bikes is like an SS to a 911 turbo.

People used to jump on the RS250s so they could have the fastest bike on restrictions. It really was the equivalent of P platers driving VY SV6 so they could beat Corollas/Lancers/Lasers AKA winning the special olympics or women's NBA. No one laughs at learners, but learners racing or weaving in traffic look like squids.

Buy your safety gear first and don't skimp on it. You need to wear it when you go sitting on bikes or test riding them. It's insurance for your life...there is no limit to what you should spend on this because you can earn the $1500-2000 back by working a couple months with your functional and intact body, as opposed to death/disability. Bike purchase is the last thing you do.

well f**k. Innovation skin is the problem. if you manage to change skins, dont use innovation

this man. he knows.

did the same on my phone, and bingo, swapped over themes (back to deluxe).

for kicks, went back to innovation - and on desktop tried hitting 'change theme' but yeah doesn't work. but on phone it still lets you, so changed back to deluxe and shiet seems to be in working order! naice.

pulse also seems to work nicely.

Haha the 300 is sweet, but beyond speed/accel I was really more looking at it's EFI & new aspect. But yeah, will probably continue to look at 250r/vtr250 :D.

Bike purchase may well be the last thing to do; but the decision to purchase bike I have to make first! :P.

Cheers for the input brah. Exciting stuff.

    • I always wondered how you were supposed to buy a set of 24 buckets and somehow magically have every single one of them yield exactly the desired clearance. I would have thought you'd need to assemble a cam with either 12 "sample" or "example" buckets of known top thickness (or a single such sample/example 12 times over!!) measure clearances at every valve, and then do the usual math to work out what the actual "shimness" of each bucket needed to be, before buying the required buckets to make up he thicknesses that you didn't have on hand.
    • I now seem to be limited in power due to my rev limit/hydraulic lifters in my built RB25. I'm looking into converting over to Tomei solid lifters. Question for anyone that has done the conversion. I was always under the impression that when using the Tomei solid lifter conversion, you would also require new valves (Longer or shorter stems, I can't remember which).  I don't know where I got this idea, as so far I see no mention of this in any of the Tomei documentation. It just states I need the Tomei solid buckets, solid lifter cams and upgraded springs. As my head is already built, all I would need is another set of 1000$ Kelford cams, 500$ buckets and about 4H hours of my time installing and I'm off to the races!?!? There's no way it's that simple, I must be missing something?
    • I couldn't agree more. I should have started from the get-go with a NEO or solid bucket conversion. I started looking into converting over to solid lifters yesterday. • BRUH, one of the biggest mistakes of my life..... and i've had plenty ;[)
    • @Murray_Calavera iam just considering options 🙂 of course it is very expensive so that why i ask here 🙂  @joshuaho96 I looked at that GCG hybrid(i remember looking at it few weeks before) So this is "that" hybrid where i send them my turbo and they upgrade the inside to Garrett stuff and then they send it back. It cost around 1200-1300 USD which is FAR cheaper than the HKS and it is what iam looking for(i just do not have experience like this...to send something off to "upgrade" ) @tylink720 that is like 150 USD turbo no? 😄 I dont think i have the "ease on my mind" with this kind of turbo. I just put over 7000k USD to "LINK" up my engine...dont want to blow it up with cheap turbo 😄     EDIT: https://www.cj-motor.com/gcg-turbo-charger-for-nissan-rb20det-rb25det-high?srsltid=AfmBOooVeOZ6CZ6r1AIv5m-KPaa6BvudIPJTY8LW78khkd-gQlsaCht9 I looked at this and it seems ok? It is that CGC hybrid and it costs around 1250 USD (with back shipping). Do any of you have experience with this hybrid on NEO turbo? I quickly look thru the forum/web and it seems very good.
