nein, s14 s1, s2 tailights, navan kit, autech spoiler & autech rear bar, baws moves.

you wouldn't have been better off... a savvy banker can see that you are a former b/rupt for life.

also give me more details, if the debt was paid in full it should be listed as settled which is only a 5 year listing from the date of the initial listing, which should have been approximately 100 days after the product charged off (you stopped paying)... not the date of the settlement.

I'd imagine it's either a mistake on GE's behalf and you were automatically listed twice, or you were listed for something else and you have assumed it's GE have as you know about that debt. Have you had a Veda report confirm it's from GE? if so PM me the results and i'll see what advice I can give

as for your mate, I'd assume he didn't actually declare full b/ruptcy (Part IV) for $20k (while the minimum is $5k it is rare for amounts under $100k unless it's forced. It's more likely he either:

  • entered into a part IX personal insolvency agreement, and paid back a percentage of the debt over time
  • told the bank he was bankrupt when in fact he wasn't and the agency that bought the debt hasn't caught up with him yet
  • had the debt written off due to some technicality
  • he's not actually free and clear and if he tries to lend with someone that performs a credit check he will be knocked back
  • it's been over 3 years and he was lucky enough to cop a lazy banker
  • he has leant from a second tier lender that specialises in customers with debt agreements
What happened to DJ Nexus? He was much more fun than this banker persona. You used to be about the music. Literally.

i've seen some alright looking s1's, but no way, kouki front end is muuuuuuuucho better than zenki :P

S15? Lol good luck

not shur if referring to finding a nice one or ensuing cop attention or the like :P

yeah have checked with veda and its on there..look there was a couple of other little things as well (elec, phone bills were only only 400$ each or something) that ended up on there but all were paid, just a little late...you could say I kind of fell of of the map for a while ;)..

its the GE one that keeps biting me though, i looked into house finance and such and they even stated that was there reason for disapproval..I managed to get a personal loan from my bank but even that was only due to a persuasive broker, they tried to reject me but apparently had no right to do so.....Credit rating is nearly clear now so I dont care anymore...but from memory I got the card in 2001..it was interest free for 2 years or something i made a few payments...but about 2004 it got black listed and went on my credit rating...once a year on the same date i would get a reminder letter, so I think it was getting relisted every year..I obviously got this reminder letter in 08 and had cash so I paid it off thinking I would get the all clear as a paid debt...nope... :/

I Put a deposit on house in 06, with all debts UNPAID and no tax records for the last few years.. I was approved for 200k loan with 40k down, they offered me 11%-12% interest or something silly high..

I would have taken it just to get a foot in the door but by the time my 40k came through the GFC had hit and nobody wanted to lend at any cost...

Then we looked into house loan about a year or so ago with all debts paid in 08, (of course all house prices have inflated, even with the crash most houses are 50k or more dearer than they were in 06)... So with 50k down and over 8 years solid employment they still rejected it..Their excuse was GE..they said come back in 2013-14 when its clear and/or send a request to GE to get it lifted..

I just said f**k them all ,I've enough of their bullshit and blood money and walked away from it all..I dont plan on going back anytime soon either...

As for old mate, I dont know if he has been succesful getting a loan as such but i know his rating is clear...he wont bother trying to loan though because he has no tax records for the last 10 years and owes dole office about 30k or something ridiculous...

He did have a few mental epsiodes back when and is now on disabilities for schitzophrenia or something so maybe that was the complication you speak of..I dont know the full story cause I didn't see him for a while...

haha GE are ruthless,

 I learned that the hard way... funny thing was I had other larger debts, one was 8500$ for an uninsured accident that wasn't paid for years.. nobody ever cared about that but the f**king GE just always lingers...

that and the fact that s15's are the weakest POS of the whole s chassis range.

ahaha. if you want to make power out of them, you mean? really?

if an s15, would still want decent power. which means mod money. and then we're back at ... i should still just get an evo :P

evo with small mods on e85 = reliable 260kw.

i know, bro. that is why i keep going back to the lovely evo plan!

fuel pump, injectors, exhaust, 3p ebc, l/uicp, e85 tune... hello !

only the tip of the mod list... but already so much fun there... just more start up monies.

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
