Nice- I'm liking-

The NA (I think) grille

The strut brace- its a nismo right or Kansai?

The cleanness of the engine bay!

Green- you poms have something for greens tongue.gif

Whats that do-dah on the steering wheel? To many Danger to manifold jokes to be had there...

Whats the little plaque on the cam cover say?

Don't worry about the performance claims- Dynos are all completely different- and ramps rates, gears, operators etc etc all end up to be too many variables. Take it to the track- practice (said it was the first time yeah?) and lay down some numbers. Then you'll know where you stand! At the end of the day- if it puts a smile on your face- then happy times.

Good to have you here.

Yes it was .

I had to re register as changed email address and the password stopped working. This is where it is at now

The grille is the an NA one but it is also the one that goes with the nismo bodykit

The front strut brace is Kansai , rear is custom.

The button on the steering wheel is a remote boost switch that changes from low to high or of course the other way.

With this i can drive around on low and switch to high (1.5bar) immeadiately without taking my hands off the steering wheel.

The plaque

It is in memeory of Rob Gallager aka Tweenierob the guy and (mate) that built and mapped the engine .He was one of the top UK mappers and died in a road accident aged only 31

Why would anyone get upset with your power or performance figures?

There was some misunderstanding in the Stagea performance thread. I couldn't follow all of the ranting.

BTW, nice ride. Cars like yours would be a rare sight on the roads around your home town I'd imagine.

Looks great, feel free to share preformance figures, ignore the crap some people carry on with and as Alex said, as long as you enjoy it.

Have you got some more photos of the seats and dash. Curious to see what you have done as I have been thinking about similar mods. I'd like to switch seats but only if they matchs the trim, same goes for dials etc.

a dyno print out

stageadynorunnov09-1-1-1.jpg

Max power 502.9 max torque 455 ft lbs. at the hubs

For reference the figures are the ones I have . They are awd at the hubs on dynapack rollers at Abbey Motorsport who are not known for silly claims. However please feel free to convert to downunder figures in any way you choose - Im not going to .

Personally I only use they as a comparison between then and now or in the future, they are what they are.

It has had a few mods since then . Power is down a small bit but the torque is up to around 480

And thanks for your concern wolverine the amps is bolted down

I hope the new format of the forums doesn't start causing issues for you (and others) again like the old one did...

I had lots of problems with the old format but then Prank fixed it with what he called a band-aid solution. The one thing that still bugged me was that if you clicked on a link when you tried to close the link it would close SAU instead - that appears to be fixed now with this latest version.

    • (it is a brand new ported mellings pump) I suspect the lack of pressure is due to the leak. It was *not* that low in other logs of oil pressure in the past. It wasn't that hot either, but not far off.
    • Would a Mellings oil pump be a viable option  From my time with a LS, and talking to tuners and LS specialists, the "weak" OEM oil pump is one of the first things they recommend to swap out if I was going to give the engine any high RPM I opted for a Mellings high volume, with the high pressure springs and I never had a issue with it Cost wise they are not expensive in the scheme of things
    • Just bought a 2002 Stagea 250tRS VR-X Four AERO VQ25DET and spent the last two weekends cleaning and detailing it.. still have to do the wheels and the engine bay but the rest of it came up nice. Imported 2011 to S.A. and I'm the third owner since it was imported. I met the guy who brought it over, he went to Japan and picked out the car, bought it and ordered the wheels. He also gave me a list of stuff he did to the car with receipts. Coil overs (I have the original springs), 3" exhaust from the dump pipe back no cat, Custom dump pipe,(I have the original exhaust), Plenum spacer, 18" custom Work XSA wheels (need restoring, I've made a start..), Shift kit put through the 5 speed tiptronic auto, TV and menus/screens changed to english, Australian DTV tuner installed in rear. I've just had four new discs and new pads as well as all the fluids including the brake fluid replaced. I have all the receipts for the last 15 years and the import papers in a nice folder. Car looks great, goes like hell but fuel economy is not a thing lol.. pics next..
    • I ended up in this rut again lol, and used a shit ton of filler. One thing I can't understand is, even after using a big long block and going in long X pattern strokes, I always end up at bare metal again with no filler, and my repair started at one end of the door and now I've chased my tail to almost the other end of the door. I was thinking of hitting the panel with a hammer where it might be a high spot and making everything low then filling it, I did this on a small section on my other door by mistake and I think I fixed it lol. Is this a bad idea? The other thing is with guidecoat, whether it's the powder or spray, after I sand all the guide coat off, it doesn't reveal anything for me in terms of high spots and low spots and makes it especially hard when it's bare metal (at least in powdered form), am I doing something wrong here, or likely a high spot I keep going over and creating valleys? Lastly, stupid question but, is it possible that after sanding if I only sand over the filler area where I know to be a dent that it's impossible for me to dig into that dent? Unless there are other problems which I missed.
