Skin Issues

  • Some emoticons are missing - eg Resolved
  • User names on default skin intruding on posts (not issue on Pulse Skin) - http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6309654
  • Using the "Link" button. It is no longer a case of simply entering a URL and the TEXT you wish to see, Advanced tab seems screwy.
  • ModeratorCP is missing a link from Pulse Skin. Resolved. Must wait for page to fully load all content, then click padlock and it appears to the left)
  • Time Posted, hidden by signatures in some instances when using Deluxe Skin http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6310069 (Only affects Firefox v9-v11) - This does not work when quoting posts, works otherwise however. Needs further attention later
  • Member tag/user bars not appearing correctly. - Resolved.
  • CSS Issues - More detail in post here: http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6309766

Functionality Issues

  • Portal is not working, referring to forum page http://www.skylinesa....php?app=portal Resolved.
  • Cannot change Avatars. Upload is failing. Further info in this post: http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6310234
  • iPhone - When browsing via mobile on iPhone the Menu Box does not appear (right hand side). Works fine on Android. Resolved - See here if having similar issues: http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6311151
  • Linux & Firefox 11 are not working together well, issues with boxes over the place http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6311066
  • ModCP - Cannot delete warnings now.
  • ModCP - Warning centre defaults to default to "Do Not Change Warning Level". Used to be "Increase Warning Level By One Point" - Which makes sense as you don't go into the panel not to warn someone.
  • BBCode for YouTube Embedding (and likely Google Maps) is broken and not working. Was working in Test Area
  • When deleting posts as Mod/Admin - Posts no longer go to the trashcan, they are perma deleted by default (far as i can tell, Ash)
    -Moderators Discussion
    --Moved
  • Email notifications not working for subscribed threads

Thanks

Ash

Trying to keep this to functionality only.

I did test a Dark Skin a while back that C was playing with, there was a few issues with migration, could be one of leftovers.

Check this thread:

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/84208-wheel-sizes-offsets-for-skylines/page__pid__6309491__st__1680

on page 85 the username is to big so its sticking out of the left hand side user info collum.

Yep. They are background daemons/search engines that are usually hidden only Admin/Mod can see. Been there for years

Probably a minor change to hide them again, doesn't affect you guys :)

Cant sync my facebook with SAU. Gets to the allow section on facebook and SAU just waits and doesnt load.

Never tried in the past but yeah.. trying now and its not working.

ok so

the ''your profile'' button at the top doesn't work.

sometimes a members sig covers up the time posted, example (post 7).

http://www.skylinesa...-5s-on-a-26ltr/

and any chance of getting a bigger avatar allowance?

it's hard to find a tweety bird image that small.

300x300 maybe?

Gallery images link re-direct back to the main SAU forum page.

They are also loading full res version (re-sized), surely you want to store a compressed version, so the pages loads quicker and to reduce bandwidth.

Default skin causes the posted time to upset the signatures in Firefox 11.0

a clear:both; fixes it but drops the time posted bellow the sig

CSS Line: 239

.desc, .desc.blend_links a, p.posted_info {

clear:both;

Also a number of editor icons dont load in FF 11.0 for me

Editor mode

special BB

Smiley

( I refuse to debug Javascript :) i do it all day at work )

Good work guys, the forums look good.

Only one thing I noted, but it's a big one - no email notifications being sent. it looks like notification preferences were not migrated as most of them were turned off.

  • Quote and code buttons don't show up when you add for full reply, neither does the smiley buttons for me.
  • Time is incorrect it's 1 hour too fast
  • also my signature is still hiding the time stamp

Time Posted, hidden by signatures in some instances when using Deluxe Skin http://www.skylinesa...ost__p__6306501 (Only affects Firefox v9-v11)

Not true, I'm using IE and it's still doing the same thing

  • P.s where do I find these silly skins?

:)

    • My thinking is that if the O2 sensor is shot then your entire above described experience is pure placebo.
    • Here is the mess that I made. That filler there was successful in filling dents in that area. But in the middle area. I can feel dents. And I've gone ocer it multiple times with filler. And the filler is no longer there because i accidently sanded it away. I've chased my tail on this job but this is something else lol. So I'm gonna attempt filler one more time and if it doesn't work I'll just high fill primer the door and see where the issues are because guidecoat is of no use atm.
    • Ok, so I think I sort of figured out where I went wrong. So I definitely overthinked it, and I over sanded, which is probably a large part of the problem. to fix it, I ended up tapping some spots that were likely to be high, made them low, filled them in, and I tackled small sections at a time, and it feels a lot better.    I think what confused me as well is you have the bare metal, and some spots darker and some are lighter, and when I run my finger across it, it' would feel like it's a low spot, but I think it's just a transition in different texture from metal to body filler.    When your finger's sliding on the body filler, and crosses over to the bare metal, going back and forth, it feels like it's a low spot. So I kept putting filler there and sanding, but I think it was just a transition in texture, nothing to do with the low or high spot. But the panel's feels a lot better, and I'm just going to end up priming it, and then I'll block it after with guide coat.   Ended up wasting just about all of my filler on this damn door lol
    • -10 is plenty for running to an oil cooler. When you look at oil feeds, like power steering feeds, they're much smaller, and then just a larger hose size to move volume in less pressure. No need for -12. Even on the race cars, like Duncans, and endurance cars, most of them are all running -10 and everything works perfectly fine, temps are under control, and there's no restrictions.
    • Update: O2 sensor in my downpipe turned out to be faulty when I plugged in to the Haltech software. Was getting a "open circuit" warning. Tons of carbon buildup on it, probably from when I was running rich for a while before getting it corrected. Replaced with new unit and test drove again. The shuffle still happens, albeit far less now. I am not able to replicate it as reliably and it no longer happens at the same RPM levels as before. The only time I was able to hear it was in 5th going uphill and another time in 5th where there was no noticeable incline but applying more throttle first sped it up and then cleared it. Then once in 4th when I slightly lifted the throttle going over a bump but cleared right after. My understanding is that with the O2 sensor out, the ECU relies entirely on the MAP tune and isn't able to make its small adjustments based on the sensors reading. All in all, a big improvement, though not the silver bullet. Will try validating the actuators are set up correctly, and potentially setting up shop time to tune the boost controller on closed loop rather than the open loop it is set to now. Think if it's set up on closed loop to take the O2 reading, that should deal with these last bits. Will try to update again as I go.
