lareee
Hi all! I'm running out of spark with my RB25DET S2. I have fresh sparkplugs and the coilpacks seems externally undamaged. Anyway, now I'm planning on updating the coilpacks. There's a bunch of different kinds of aftermarket coilpacks, but are there really any difference between them except the price? Found this relatively cheap coilpack set on ebay: http://www.ebay.co.u...=item1c27d92b13 Does anyone know how this works? Any good? Many thanks on the replies! -Lars Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/414089-about-aftermarket-coilpacks/ Share on other sites

89CAL
What's the difference between yellow jackets and the red splitfires? Are they the same? Splitfires are blue Splitfires are the best Nearly 4 years with mine and not a single hiccup. They will all create spark, but some are more reliable then others Edited November 20, 2012 by 89CAL Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/414089-about-aftermarket-coilpacks/#findComment-6633374 Share on other sites

Sinista32
- Splitfires I wasted more time reading this thread. As pointed out. Dose Pipe Sutututu
To add to this thread, I recently bought a R33 and went to replaced the spark plugs and to my disbelief, I am running 5x Yellow Jackets and 1x OEM coilpack. So off to eBay I went to try and find 1x Yellow Jacket and instead saw these coilpacks "APPARENTLY" made in Japan and only $250 delivered from Japan... I do however find it too good to be true. They are backed witha 2 year warranty (no idea how dafuq that's going to work LOL) Cheap Look like Superspark Coilpacks I'm a tad game on trying them, considering the Yellow Jacket distributor wants $100 delivered for just 1x coilpack.. what a rip off! oh link here: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Performance-Coils-SKYLINE-STAGEA-LAUREL-NEO-Rb20-Rb25-RB25det-Coilpacks-Pack-R34-/271104651182?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f1f18afae Edited November 21, 2012 by johnnilicte Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/414089-about-aftermarket-coilpacks/#findComment-6634174 Share on other sites

Sinista32
Seriously - just go Splitfires. There are so many folk on here that buy everything else but splitfires to save money and have issues with at least 1 of 6. Some have had them replaced free of charge and again at least 1 failure out of 6. Moodles2
I've seen 2 reports of these Fuji coilpacks (red) misfiring on N/A skylines, 1 coilpack failing within the first couple of weeks.. i'd hate to see how badly they perform with more added stress (turbo skyline). KiwiRS4T
I still can't wrap my head around brand new OEM coils for $250.. when they're like $100+ for each coil from most traders They were over $1000 a set from Nissan! I bought an ebay set and they look genuine and seem to work ok. I heard they came from a bankrupted Nissan dealer in the US though why they would have huge stocks of them I don't know. I hope they are not fake but are working so far at 20psi and 280kw. See what happens with a bit more power. On another note a Stagea owner says his Yellowjackets broke down after 18 months!
