Removed my rear spoiler today, on one side it was missing a bolt and the other was moving freely in the spoiler :/ also need a new lip as the genuine one is lifting and buckling :(

I don't mind the look with the lip only though. Opinions?

Also pulled out the air box, cleaned the mafs and pipes. I'm pretty sure a catch can has moved up on my to do list, it was nasty in there.

I noticed some random wires in my boot too, when I bought the car the guy had the attesa fuse pulled out and said something bout tyre size between the front and rear was making it play up. I thought the wires were from the attesa computer or what ever it is under the parcel shelf but it is all plug in.

The wires are red brown and yellow I think and go to the same plug, there is also one that looks like a head phone jack and a round one that is the same size as an aerial plug. What are these?

Cheers

Catchcan sounds good. Haven't had mine on for long but I'm looking forward to seeing how well it's working.

Not sure about Attesa but the under the parcel shelf Computer is usually Hicas.

Random plugs... Cd Stacker?

I had oil sitting in the coil bits of the pipes and the mafs were so bad.

From my understamdimg , left to right goes hicas, amp (maybe?) And wiper stuff then attesa. But I'm not 100%

Good call on the stacker, that sorta ads up, I'll pull all the boot trim out and trace it back.

My spare tire had a bunch of jap symbols, I like that this is still so fresh from Japan lol

Yep my understanding is the child restraints need to be in there before the car can be complied.

I am not sure that all those cars that had child restraints installed for compliance now need to get an engineers certficate. Is that what you are saying?

I would have thought the fact the car was complied proves.....well...compliance?

Bryce came aorund again and put in some stock springs - by gosh I am as high as a 4WD. Bryce took Rosie for a decent spin haha was good fun. Also, I took Bryce's car for a spin - very impressive. First Skyline I have driven which isn't mine - NERVOUS CRUISING AROUND WITH LMGT4'S!

Well I'm replacing the mounting tape on my Drivers Front weathershield, that should get me to at least 9000kw.

Can't comprehend what driving a 400+ kw car is like.

Nice Result Luke. :woot:

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
    • Lock me in mate, although I'm not sure if I'll be heading up from Goulburn or down from Sydney, either way, return will be back to Goulburn
