Good luck.

After I had my engine built (8000km's after) I had a "o" ring fail on the oil cooler and it start to leak oil everywhere. Guys had me in the shop the day after i found out and fixed the same day.

They seemed to care about their build work and the engine. Was reassuring to say the least.

They are a very busy shop. GTR's everywhere.

Half your luck ?

That hurts Mark :)

They do some really good builds and the blokes there know what they are doing.

Maybe my type of build is not what they specialize in as they seem to get into the drag/speed cars.

Anyway, hopefully after I drop it off on Monday I will get it back firing on all 6 in a week :)

It really does not like starting in the cold weather :(

Sounds like they didn't go into the cold start setup on the ECU and compensation settings. Hopefully it all goes well when it returns.

Their other tunes were fine.

I think this is getting worse because it is running rich, the plugs would be like they are covered in black velvet and I do not feel like having a new set of plugs put in, just did that, already put 3 sets in, well I didn't , my mechanic did :) +$

Looks like some good work on the 3.2 stroker here from CRD

sounds awesome...

Not a street gtr at all, as suggested. Actually not even a gtr with an auto in it. What a load of crap . It's a drag car.

The 26 stroker sounded much better then the vl block.

So if an Auto is not counted , what about the sequential box ?

Even my heap cannot be called a real Skyline, different motor, turbo,ECU,radiator, clutch, Tranny, front and back diffs and a lot more ????

So if it is not counted with an Auto box, when is a skyline, not a skyline ?

There are two GTRs in NZ that have done 7 second runs but they were drag specials. Rips has built a few "street" (as in road registered ) R34 GTRs for dragging with powerglide boxes doing 8s but the fastest proper street GTRs that I know are doing 9s. There are a load of Street GTRs doing 10s.

Exactly the same as a tubbed 120y with a Sb chev , 2 speed power glide and 9 inch doing 9s. No difference

So as long as the outside resembles your model Skyline, it is ?

Whatever, I like it :)

So do I,

but it's a drag car not a street car.

Before I bought my car it was being work by them, but not for a street car, laggy as fark. It was an impulse buy and turned into a financial nightmare because I am a stubborn SOB, haha

But I really got to like the car and here I am, still going at it

    • Which solenoid? Why was it changed? Again, why was this done? ...well, these wear..but ultimately, why was it changed? Did you reset the idle voltage level after fitment? I'm just a tad confused ~ the flash code doesn't allude to these items being faulty, so in my mind the only reason to change these things, would be some drive-ability issue....and if that's the case, what was the problem? Those questions aside, check if the dropping resistor is OK ...should be 11~14 ohms (TCU doesn't throw a flash code for this) ~ also, these TCU designs have full time power (to keep fault code RAM alive), and I think that'll throw a logic code (as opposed to the 10 hardware codes), if that power is missing (or the ram has gone bad in the TCU, which you can check..but that's another story here perhaps).
    • Question for people who "know stuff" I am looking at doing the new intake like the one in the picture (the pictured is designed for the OEM TB and intake plenum), this design has the filter behind the front bar, but, the filter sits where the OEM duct heads into the front bar, and the standard aperture when the OEM ducting is removed allows the filter to pulled back out of the front bar into the engine bay for servicing, a simple blanking plate is used to seal the aperture behind the filter This will require a 45° silicone hose from the TB, like the alloy pipe that is currently there, to another 45° silicone hose to get a straight run to the aperture in the front bar Question: how will it effect the tune if I move the MAF about 100-150mm forward, the red is around where my MAF is currently, and the green would be where it would end up Like this This is the hole the filter goes through  Ends up like this LOL..Cheers
    • Despite the level up question, actually I do know what that is....it is a pressure sender wire.  So check out around the oil filter for an oil pressure sender, or maybe fuel pressure near the filter or on the engine. Possibly but less likely coolant pressure sensor because they tend to be combined temp/pressure senders if you have one. Could also be brake pressure (in a brake line somewhere pre ABS) but maybe I'm the only one that has that on a skyline.
    • Pull codes via the self-diagnosis procedure. As far as I can tell this is just a sign of transmission issues but not a code unto itself.
    • Hi All, putting the engine back together and everything is perfect except have this plug left over.. any ideas what it is for and where it goes? Is on cold side under the intake plenum *note not a stock plug, as everything has been modified Cheers
