9Well so far guys I've done the chasis work and have all confidence its done right. After all i have another r32 chassis i took all the measurement from. For those of you that dont remember this car got in a very bad accident writing off a toyota camary as well.

After yesterday the car is well on its way back. I have a few concerns. I had an rb20 in it originally wit a rom tune ecu running 550cc injectors and z32 afm it was pretty quick. To change the tune all ill have to do is call the guy that tuned it and he sends a new chip. Obviously i know this isnt the way to tune the car properly, but just a start towards a power fc. Now im planning on installing a rb26 running sigal turbo (halset hx35w). This is really a budget build using all my left over parts i have. As for the actual motor its all stock with refurbished head and everything will be stock other than new acl race bearing, mls gasket set (includes head gasket.) New oem oil, and water pump, block restrictor. Thats about it really. Do you guys think i can wire up my gts4 rb20 ecu to work on the rb26.???? Using the 550 injectors and singal z32 afm. Or should i just go for the power fc. ???

Here are some photos of the car repaired so far.

Hmm. I needed that. Ok. I was thinking nistune. But may just go with the power fc. I have no experience with nistune. Unless some has a setup i can just buy thats a good price. Thanks for that tho guys sometimes i loss my sense of direction. Ill set it up the car and for now just share a power fc, and just upload a tune for the particular car it's in. Ill share between a r33 gtr and a r32 gts4 (rb26) powered.

Here is the last question thats bugging me with the 550cc injectors with a fresh stock motor. What power levels should i expect. And what boost would be my limit.

How would use the 4wd system. Rb25 neo cant never be a rb26 mate. The rwd will limit it to be just that rwd not 4wd. Thats what i wanted. Plus it was just laying around and ya cant beat free.

RB20 should not run more than 14 psi on stock turbo obviously. With other turbo you can safely run over 20 psi no problems and make power up to about the limit of those injectors (which is about 550 engine HP).

I totally understand that. What would the power potential be for the freshly built stock rb26. Even if i up the injector size. ??

So... you have a RWD GTS4?

Sorry i said that a bit wrong. The gts4 that i have is 4wd. But if i was to run a rb25 wouldn't it turn rwd. ??

Eather way id choose a 26 over any 25

I think the standard answer for such an open ended question is "more than 9000".

Keep in mind that the RB26 was effectively a 400-450HP engine straight from Nissan, without really being pushed. I mean really, you can probably make 700 engine HP on a stock RB26 without risking breaking too much. The numbers are really rubbery though, because it depends on what you mean by "make". If it's an occasional squirt at that power level it is entirely different to getting raped on the dyno or drifting, or heavy Friday night street drags or circuit work. Each of those will place other loads onto the engine (like oiling) that come into play differently.

Hmm. I never thought it was 450. Thats good for me. I know what you mean about how you load the motor. I really dont want much. Just more than 300. Lol. I have owned several rb25s from neo to r33. To me i just like the 26 better. I drag race thats it.

I actually also had a rb25 from a r33 gts4. It must have been because it was stamped rb25 and had the bolt holes for the 4wd oil pan on it like the 26 and 20 from gts4 originally.

There are awd RB25's, in quite a few models.

26 over a 25? That's why the prices of 26 long motors is stupidly high, because fanbois think the 26 is the better engine.

EXACTLY!

If you take a close look at the neo.. Then you know what's what.

Yeah f**k neo's, sell them to me cheap :)

Hi sorry for the delay on this build. Well i just finished the motor build. Was a little hold up on the head drain. So i just built my own. I step back and looked at it and decided to do it a bit different. I drained it into the rear turbo return and im going to vent the bottom end from the front turbo return seeing how thats the highest point. The actuall turbo retun is on the oil pan using dash an10 fitting. All my other setups have the head drian going all the way back to the front. To me that a long trip and the forces of foward movement is trying to keep the oil back even in the pan. More downward trip (hense) should keep things moving. Only drow back is in the oil pan. The rear of it is only so big so at some point it will start flowing foward. I guess. Lol. The oil pan is bigger so the extra oil is also a bonus.

Almost done guys. Quick question.

Would a walbo pump support 500hp at max. Im looking for a fuel pump thats intank but not to expensive.

Was looking at walbo GSS342.

I guess i should ask what does the oem pump support as well:unsure:

Thanks in advance

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
