Thats it, I don't :P

Also, I've had na 4's, turbo 6's and turbo 4's, I want to try something different... So want to try daily a v8 to see what all the fuss is about. Can't knock it till you try it, yeah?

Thinking of getting a VE SS or similar as a daily...

Want something that can tow, and then de-rego skyline / drop insurance costs

but then you need a trailer... space + $$$

Pro's: V8 will still get better fuel economy than Evo :P

Con: no longer have back-up DECA/Track car if Skyline cant make it.

could always go Toyota V8. can tow ok, just not same grunt as GM or Ford. Cressida, Crown, Lexus LS/GS: much nicer cars than holden.

Don't wanna spend $30k though, might even be looking at a VZ if I wanna stick to my price range (of not too much outlay after selling the evo). and the VZ makes me cry.

30k? they barely get 20k these days get an 09 FG turbo for that easy

v8s make good daily, dat lowdown

My concern is, if the skyline can't make it BACK from somewhere... trailer = good.

Also making dropping off the skyline to Racepace / Alignments / etc easier since I can just drop it off and drive away without needing a lift to get home again.

E85 + Driving to Winton / Shepparton / PI = $180 on fuel for the day. Would be cheaper driving there (even towing) on 98.

Saving on Skyline Rego costs and Insurance will pay for a good trailer over 2 years.

Saving on Evo Insurance will pay for the difference in price of the Evo -> SSV over 3-4 years.

Gets rid of the boy-racer image that comes with driving the evo / big wing / exhaust (even though its a lot less than the skyline was)

Plenty of undercover space for the trailer / skyline at my sisters new place / farm.

Tow vehicles make complete sense and help with that fear of binning the daily at the track...that alone is worth another 2-3 seconds off the lap times haha

Victoria is a joke for fines...almost everywhere else in the world will pin a few km over with a $50 or less fine and no points.

Everybody everywhere speeds at some point in time; lapse of concentration my ass! Love how he blames it on that whilst his assistant commissioner has a go at everyone else who got caught speeding implying they are intentionally speeding / are content with it being harmless

Earlier this week, Assistant Commissioner (Traffic) Doug Fryer said it was concerning how many people thought it was OK to speed, after 7651 drivers were caught breaking the limit during a holiday road blitz.

    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
    • Legend. I ended up finding the facebook account of the owner of the first car i sent but sadly he deactivated the account. I think you’re right in saying it’s some sort of well done custom job. Really appreciate your help anyways.
