Gear Knob, Valve cover, Nismo sticker, Wheel centre cover, Turbotech MBC, Radiator,

Basically nothing too critical. anything important I source locally from a reputable seller with in store warranty.

the radiator was flushed and tested before installation.

the MBC was bought from Turbotech.

A more appropriate question for me would be "What haven't you bought off Ebay" to which my reply would be "Um..... nothing!"

I bloody live on the stupid thing. I think I might have the male version of a womans handbag addiction. And I'm tipping a large number of you other blokes on here are in the same boat!

I'm up to 543 purchases on Ebay now. I tried to tally it up at a few years ago (they've changed it so you can't look it up anymore) and it was well over $10000 worth of stuff. I'd reckon it's maybe close to $20K now.

I think I need to do an online shopping addiction therapy session....

I buy almost everything from TradeMe (NZ's equivalent to Ebay) as many dependable suppliers use the platform. There is rubbish to avoid as well of course. I buy some stuff from UK Ebay if the price and freight is right. I buy very little from AU Ebay or US Ebay as nearly all the vendors insist on using the most expensive form of freight (and some US vendors won't export!). The exceptions on the US Ebay site are electronics and car parts listed on the US site by Hong Kong suppliers who will send stuff for low or no freight cost.

Shit tons of stuff. I remember 10 years ago, I had to find H4H bulbs for my car, ebay saved the day. Since then Ive bought hundreds of items. Much of it is cheap stuff from china. Hell Im even running taiwanese ebay spec ball joints and they've held up fine going on 4 years now. Electronic components are also considerably cheaper compared to jaycar which has exorbitant markups on small items.

543 purchases, or is that just how many people you have traded with.

Feedback score is only people dealt with iirc.

So, buy 5 items from 1 person, means 1 on tear feedback number.

I bought some violet metallic flake powder for a respray job on my R32. $25 for 25 grams, laid on a black base coat and added the flake to the clear at 5 grams per litre. Sprayed it in a carport with some tarps and it came up okay. Turns plenty of heads and I regularly get a thumb up ( IRL ) and sometimes even a " nice ride bro " out in the world.

Custom Pearl Finishes is the store for anyone looking to do their own respray on a budget.

    • Not sure the US can import anything other than the C34 Stagea's, but if you can and you need to to tow, DO NOT under any circumstances get an M35 Stagea. If it is just as a family car and your country/state allows it, absolutely and definitely get an M35 (3.5L if possible as it is effectively a 350Z) over a C34.
    • Punch your VIN (nm35-xxxxxx) into Amayama.com You can see everything there quite easily.
    • Thanks for that, I'll check it all out. I can always do the brakes last anyway if its a problem.  The 16's are super cool, if they do fit I'll cruise around with them for a bit.
    • Well, that's kinda the point. The calipers might interfere with the inside of the barrels 16" rims are only about 14" inside the barrels, which is ~350mm, and 334mm rotors only leave about 8mm outboard for the caliper before you get to 350, And.... that;s not gunna be enough. If the rims have a larger ID than that, you might sneak it in. I'd be putting a measuring stick inside the wheel and eyeballing the extra required for the caliper outboard of the rotor before committing to bolting it all on.
    • OK, so again it has been a bit of a break but it was around researching what had been done since I didn't have access to Neil's records and not everything is obvious without pulling stuff apart. Happily the guy who assembled the engine had kept reasonable records, so we now know the final spec is: Bottom end: Standard block and crank Ross 86.5mm forgies, 9:1 compression Spool forged rods Standard main bolts Oil pump Spool billet gears in standard housing Aeroflow extended and baffled sump Head Freshly rebuilt standard head with new 80lb valve springs Mild porting/port match Head oil feed restrictor VCT disabled Tighe 805C reground cams (255 duration, 8.93 lift)  Adjustable cam gears on inlet/exhaust Standard head bolts, gasket not confirmed but assumed MLS External 555cc Nismo injectors Z32 AFM Bosch 023 Intank fuel pump Garret 2871 (factory housings and manifold) Hypertune FFP plenum with standard throttle   Time to book in a trip to Unigroup
