I can't seem to load this page on Edge at all.

Just attempts to load SAU.com.au/forums over and over then gives up saying the page can't be loaded or "there is a problem with this webpage"

Works fine in IE, Chrome, FF.

Dunno if reported yet but hey now it is!

I've changed you to the default theme, can you try again?

Looking good...

Group banners (SAU Victoria Member, etc ) seem to be missing, will they be making a return? I see Administrator is visible, but not the rest.

superb looking update, nice look

noticed pics missing in a few threads I looked at earlier this morning

Thanks!

Yeah images are being copied between directories atm (all 162GB of them) so will be available again soon.

Yep, they'll be back (they were briefly this morning but need a tweak)

Yep, the theme breaks it. Works fine in default theme, the dark theme is no good.

Funnilly enough its only the forums HOMEPAGE that breaks. Works fine if you are in a subfolder.

Hey Christian just having a few issues with the iPhone app, not all of my subscribed threads are showing in the subscribed section. There is also nothing showing in the notifications section.

Thanks for the hard work mate, it's much appreciated

Appreciate your hard work.

I cannot turn off the notifications for new content.

But more importantly I cannot turn on the emails when I get a message ...which I find handy:mellow:

Have a look at the notifications settings; http://www.sau.com.au/forums/notifications/options/

I believe anything in 'notifications list' will fire a browser notification.

You can also turn off browser notifications by clicking the icon to the left of the web address in the address bar.

New layout looks clean. I dig. Just one comment on the UX on the main page.

IMO, if you want to keep the forum going with fresh visitors, the main sau.com.au site *needs* a big shiny Forum button in the nav bar, just to the left of the Browse, Activity and Support buttons. It has to be the main call to action and at the moment, it's buried under browse and I had to hunt around for a few seconds to get here.

Users that don't already know that the forums exist are, in my opinion, extremely unlikely to find their way there.

I totally agree, @Skepticism - I want to ditch the 'Browse' button entirely. We don't have enough sections to warrant a drop down menu.

Thanks for your feedback, its seriously appreciated!

Yeah, way better now.  A+ would be if you can get something similar on the mobile layout but I'm not sure of the best way (I'm more of a web dev than design/UX guy heh)

Anyone having any dramas seeing pics?
I can't see pictures in build threads that used to display fine before the update.

W10, Edge browser

Some images are still being moved (we've had some issues with the upgrade script).

Can you link me to one so I can ascertain if this is the same issue?

    • The alloy coolant reservoir has a sight glass, so as long as I can see coolant in the sight glass it's GTG, as for PS, it isn't anything catastrophic if it gets low, and as it hasn't lost a drop since I have owned the car I cannot see it being an issue, even after putting the "big block" 2.5 in....LOL The only time it gets slightly messy is at oil changes, as the oil filter sits above the frame, and I need to use a plastic bottle with its bottom cut off to catch the flow when loosening the filter
    • Good on you for taking on the job, but it is a big one. Even if you have bolt on manifold and turbo, you will need: Post throttle pressure source to boost controller to wastegate (and FPR, and ECU/MAP sensor) Pre throttle pressure source to top of BOV(s) Oil feed - you can take that from the standard port in the middle of the block Oil return to block under the turbo - this is much trickier than it seems to route a decent/wide pipe past the manifold. You really can't use rubber hose because it is way too hot there, and also the oil out of the turbo core is a bit frothy so it needs to have a decent diameter Water feed - you can take that from the standard port in the rear of the block. Water return - mine runs to a T into the heater box return, just make sure you don't create a high point making bleeding hard. All of those lines should use 200 series style teflon braided hose with heat shielding because everything needs to be routed past the manifold. Also a turbo beanie is a really good idea to minimise the chance of the car catching fire (under bonnet lining in particular) You also need to decide a cam cover breathing solution as well, will you vent externally via a catch can (probably illegal) or return to the intake (plumbing required and can oil up everything over time) Keep in mind the intake and exhaust piping in the engine bay will be custom so you either need to be able to fab ally and steel or have someone you can get a car that isn't running to. Get the wideband fitting welded into the dump pipe at the same time. Also, just my opinion, a screamer pipe attracts attention and doesn't add power, I'd plumb it back if you want to be allowed to keep the car on the road. BTW do you know anything about how healthy the motor is, and what power you are targeting? Doubling or tripling the factory power on an unknown motor is a little risky. Also fuel system will need some attention (pumps, high current hanger, direct power and earth feed, injectors etc)
