What company? That looks like lazy courier.

Couriers Please, turns out Sparesbox put the wrong address on the box.

I don't even know how that's even possible? The turbo got sent to thr correct address yet thr turbine goes somewhere else?

What the actual frak. Clearly Sparesbox is worse than Mwave

Got my manifold back from Hi Octane Racing, they powder coated it for $280. Not a bad price, but felt a bit ripped off when I dropped it off and they were like umm can't give you a price now but it will be about $200 to $300.. like a $100 spread? Anyhow $280 later I have a ceramic coated manifold lol.

Started to trim the studs on the head as advised by Sinco, turns out I only needed to trim only 1 not 2, mini win?

Looking the part now, because Shitbox/Spareshit/karntbox aka Sparesmoron sent my friggen turbine housing elsewhere I decided to test fit this turbo.

Don’t hi-octane do this shit on a daily basis so they should know exactly how much a 6 cylinder manifold will cost

Yeah I know right? Oh wells, it is what it is but the coating is bloody good though so pretty happy about that.

Now to wait for the rear turbine housing to arrive (whenever that happens), then I'll mock up the lines with some left over bits and bobs  and put together shopping list and go to MSCN for a rape lol.

After that, off to the fabricators then hopefully some skids.

And update, Sparesbox only just realised the housing is just sitting at Couriers Please's depot instead of being returned to Sparesbox ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️

Is this a 3 Stooges episode?

ETA to activities in Mexico?

2 more weeks at work till my redundancy, then it's R33 time till it's done.

Aiming for the shitbox running in 3 to 4 weeks, will test skid then dyno.

Popped on some studs and trying to determine how to clock the turbo to make sure the oil feed and oil drain clears the manifold.

Looks like I might have to go hard lines, oh wells lol.

Called in "sick" then went to MSCN to get fittings, hard lines for the turbo setup.

Left wondering why I didn't go to work instead lol.20190320_131440.thumb.jpg.04468a53e276eab286919bba1ba799e4.jpg

    • So I put it to 3bar (43.5psi) while priming. It stays at 43.5~ as I crank shakes slightly. Ive also tried dropping pressure to see if that changes anything. I replaced the fuel dampener because I was troubleshooting the system along with the stock FPR (swapping them one by one to rule them out). But i only got up to changing the dampener and it started running again. Injectors are stock second hand. I did a bench test on both my original ones and the secondhand ones. The second hand injectors I have in the car now spray slightly stronger than my original injectors.
    • I knew Andy from about then, it did some cool stuff. By 2005/2006 era, he also implemented closed loop ignition timing tuning. In 2004 it was pretty cool, being with him when he was doing automated fast self learning tuning!
    • Im No tuner but…. im running a 25det with north of 600wkw at 9000rpm e85 and water meth. G40 1150 on 32psi. Having a real built head will flow a crap ton more power but you being stuck at 7600 won’t be helping at all, throw all the boost you can and nothing will happen. Solid lifter and 9000rpm is the only way,  I have built my motor 3 times, not from engine failure but more along the lines of my failures in not understanding engine parts better, basic phrase to help, “block hold power”  “head make power”
    • What's the fuel pressure while the car is cranking? Curious, why did you replace the fuel damper? What injectors are you using, are they brand new?
    • I think it's terrible value, it should be half that price IMO. And I'm known as someone who will unironically suggest the GTIII-SS on the RB26 if you have very specific requirements. The GCG RB25DET "hybrid turbo" is 1/3rd the cost of this GTIII-RS kit and sounds like it should fit with zero modifications. Talk to Hypergear as well, maybe they can do something that fits your requirements.
