Depends what you mean by very quiet?you’ll never make it sound stock but getting something that is very streetable without drone is definitely possible.

A lot of people are using AES mufflers now and the results have been great, I’ve got a set for my car (getting done next week) and I heard Andrew Hawkins car on the weekend and am confident in my choice

sorry is there another thread ?

Nah, offline - but they have had good results making 4" exhaust flow well without being too loud so hopefully one of them will weigh in

For those building their own exhaust systems at home, what is the best way you've found to make accurate cuts on larger diameter stainless?

I've started building a 4" system, using a cold saw (dry type) and it's been a pain in the ass.

@JustinP I just used an angle grinder for mine then finished it on the belt sander to get a perfect mating face. I used a 125mm angle grinder with the thinnest blade I could find. Cuts through it super fast.

can reaper send you an exhaust or do they need the car in the workshop?

He supplies mufflers to order mate. Measure up what suits you and check out his gear and order up the style you like ?

    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
