oh crap I should have read the title...anyway I can't be bothered going to the DR30 one at the moment. I asked the wife and my sister and they both said that the DR was a muscle car...I think the HR is softer myself...whether its a GT or not I don't know...never thought about it, only know they have an rb20 in 'em (don't they?).

I reckon they're a GT, but I can't vote now cause I voted muscle car cause I never read it and I'm a dumb arse! :P

definately GT due to the weight. The gts-r looks aggressive and all but is heavy due to the HICAS 4 wheel steering system. I absolutely love HR30 rs-x's also. The power to weight ratio is amazing. Matt's car is the bomb!!!!!!!! you can make the 4dr versions of the r31 as aggressive as the hr31's. In a few months, mine will be a mechanical testiment hopefully

there are hr31 gts 4doors too:)

The HR is pretty weak to start with...takes a bit of work to make it as fun to drive as the dr but much prefer the rb over the fj personally, but would take a good dr30 over the hr31.

Answer, none of the above.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone piped up with that comment.

Gimme a Passage over a coupe any day.

Coupes just aren't pimp enough.

I would say GT from the poll, but in actuality, Sporting Sedan (yeah, IMO the coupe can be called a sedan anyway, 2 door sedan) would be my description.

The GTS-R is a homologation special.

Ive owned an ausie R31 and have a HR31 GTS-X....stock the HR are fairly weak but get some mods happening and they are an angry engine....Im going with Muscle Car....just cous for the curves on the car are so aggressive compared to later skyrines - thats my personal thoughts

After having driven my brothers mate's HR31 i do not rate them!! They are a B O A T!!!

I definatly feel that they are more of a GT style of car then a sports car, kinda like how the later skylines i feel are classed.......Long range cruisers more then sprts cars

hell yeah! im gonna do that to mine when i get it, whether a passage or a local- dark, low, sweet sweet rims. mmm. if i wanted a coupe id getta r33 or something. which i would still prefer a four door variant...

Yeah.. I admit I love both the HR31's .. but to be honest, if it came down to a choice between R32 or R33 and HR31, I'd take the R32 all the time.

I have a Passage and R32, and they both have silvertops...the Passage is over 200kg heavier than the 32, and there is a big difference in the handling - it is nowhere near as nimble or point and shoot. The R32 feels like a sports car when you sit in it, and drive it - whereas the HR31's have a pretty different feel.

The Passage is very cool in it's own right, but more of a cruiser for the streets, not the track or the mountains. Might have good potential for drift though.

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
