  1. Hey Dan, im interested in coming along. Was just reading the supp regs and reg 42 says. -All laps will be in an clockwise direction of the 2000m circuit Was wondering if the event will be run on the full or short course as 2000m sounds like the short?. Cheers Bill
  2. Yeah they're not bad. They lag a little but nothing dramatic. On start up it's a little slow as i've got a fair few things starting up in the background but overall quite happy with it. It'll run hobdrive, igo maps, dab+ and take a phone call all at the same time without any drama. Communication between hobdrive and the obd2 is a little slow, rpm is a little slow to keep up but that's got more to do with wifi/bluetooth speed than anything to do with the hu. Sound wise, it aint no Alpine but still sounds pretty decent for what it is. Mines a little old now, it's a 5.1 android and cost me around $270 delivered a year or 2 ago. Ive got 2 of them in 2 different cars and both have been reliable to date.
  3. Where are you located? I have a working genuine nissan r33 electric antenna unit you can have for very little $.
  4. Here's a pic of what the home screen looks like.
  5. The only time i have any sort of issue connecting is when im in my driveway at home and my android stereo tries to connect to my home wifi instead of the vlink. Its not really an issue, as it automatically connects while im driving away but yeah just be aware that can happen.
  6. Or as seen on mcm latest episode, use google translate live. Point your phones camera at what you want translated and it shows you instantly on the screen.
  7. This one from this exact seller. A bit pricey but works and delivered next day. Connects to hob drive via wifi. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com.au%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F262925934977
  8. Hob drive android app. Can show and clear dtc's and read all sensors. Works on m35, i use it with a vgate wifi obd dongle.
  9. Well done mate. It finally happened [emoji106]
  10. Well, about the CA. You've come to the realisation the SR conversion done properly is going to cost you 15-20k and you don't like it. The CA is the simplest road forward and is easy enough to get horsepower out of. Do the math, its a no brainer. Will still be eligible for time attack efame. Win win. For me the cost of changing to an SR and the performance benefit doesn't stack up. Think about how many years your ca has been going, a simple freshen up should give you many more. Im f**king off out of this thread now, good luck with your deliberations. Another option, buy an Evo. K bye.
  11. As Duncan said and honestly who gives a crap about time attack rules, getting as much seat time as possible is where it's at. I vote keep the ca and freshen up, larger turbo for 250-270rwkw, leave everything else as is and just drive the thing. Keep it simple and if a ready built track car becomes available down the track jump on it then. My 2c.
  12. Keep the s13 and go ls1. Im sure you've seen that orange one that's done some rounds in that series you're doing. Plenty of cheap replacement engines, easy to achieve 300rwkw without turbos or e85, just a nice cam and thrash.
  13. Welcome, you've come to the right place.
  14. I haven't used them myself but @nizmoman (ravi) has and rates them.
  15. I learnt from gts boy and stepper and did sfa and noticed no difference. Car drives fine with that type of movement, even at 240+ km/h. My advice is leave it alone unless the wheel is going in/out from bearing wear, that would require attention.
  16. Up to 10% variation is quite normal. Yours is a little bit over that but still pretty good for a +20 year old engine. Heaps of things can cause the variation. From ring, bore, valve guide, valve wear to name a few. I would honestly be happy with that and not be investigating any further. If you had 1 down to 110-120, that would be more concerning.
  17. Well you've done 55k km since you've owned it, you probably dont know when they where last replaced. It would be the first thing id be doing. They would be due anyway. My 2c
  18. Id be happy with that result.
  19. What brake pads and which master cylinder are you using with the evo brembos?
